I said about 400 last night

Probably a more accurate estimate. Funny how they started with the empty seat chant considering they couldn't fill their own allocationboltonboris wrote:I said about 400 last night

The club should really lower the ticket prices. Was it £27 for an adult last night? That's far too much for a midweek game in the second tier. If it was £15, that'd be a much fairer price and they'd actually get a decent turn out which would encourage the players more.

They couldn't fill 90% of their allocation.

The sign of how far we've fallen. When driving past the South Stand, last season there used to be half a dozen different trucks parked up, all sorts of satellite dishes stuck on top of them, all the signs of the match being beamed across the country.
Last night? One van. With the puniest satellite dish screwed to the roof.

May the bridges I burn light your way

974 was the figure quoted on Twitter by Marc Iles last night as well. Still a pretty poor percentage of their home crowd though.truewhite15 wrote:Fook off. There was barely 150 there, if that.Athers wrote:Derby claim to have brought 974 fans..

It was borne out of them berating our following.
You know, because obviously we're the only team in a fairly large city and the only club in a 25 mile radius....

Better still, pay folk to go
Make it too cheap and you'll attract scuffers, anyroad
We've got enough Farnworth/Halliwell types as it is

Yes but that's because they get big attendances at home despite the fact that they've been crap for years.Leyther_Matt wrote:974 was the figure quoted on Twitter by Marc Iles last night as well. On the other hand, we pulled in a grand total of 16,000 - 16,500 home supporters (depending on how many Derby actually brought) which isn't many more home supporters than the likes of Blackpool and Burnley would get in the Championship.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of attendance Blackburn get tonight, considering their supporters are supposed to be boycotting the game.

Re: Bolton v Derby
In fairness we'd just got caught with our pants down 3 days earlier against a local rival and it was a midweek game, attendance doesn't surprise me tbh. Fridays game against Forrest and the next home match after that may be a more realistic reflection on what sort of turn out we can expect at the 'bok.
Re: Bolton v Derby
Forest will probably bring more than Derby but i'm not sure that there will be many more home supporters. I would have expected an attendance closer to 20,000 last night, considering that we're favourites for promotion and it was the first home game of the season. Having said that it was the third highest attendance of the night in the Championship. Highest was 25,500 at Brighton.wanderers_on_tour wrote:In fairness we'd just got caught with our pants down 3 days earlier against a local rival and it was a midweek game, attendance doesn't surprise me tbh. I hear everyone saying Bogdan needs to roll it out to someone instead of hoofing it long. But to who? Who in the back 4 can take a pass, turn and make an intelligent pass upfield?

We had to get a bloody taxi home because of this! Went to get money from the cash machine there after coming out of the match for the bus and it wasn't there. £20 for a pissing taxi.Bruce Rioja wrote:AND, AND, AND they've removed the cash dispenser from near Entrance L.
