Re: Holden update
If you look at his career he's been riddled with injuries. He has only played 28 games for us, the injury table has seen more of him than us. He is a very good player for us when fit but the evidence is that it won't be for a while yet, why is it that he has to spend so much time in the US he should be here with the lads doing abit of work here.TANGODANCER wrote:So, from our accepted best player to get rid because of an injury. Not forgetting the bricks.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Is there a basis for this statement other than they charge more?

Re: Holden update
He's had 2 long term injuries whilst at the club, once due to having his leg snapped by DeJong on international duty and the second after having his knee torn apart by the Scum. Sure it's gone on longer then we'd of liked but I can put it down to pure dumb luck (or that our physio team are w*nkers). Hardly comes across as being injury prone to the extent of a Owen Hargreaves or a Kieron Dyer and wont be on the same kind of wages to boot. The only other injury I can find on his resume is when he got into that brawl in Sunderland all them years ago which, for our club, proved to be a blessing in disguise.Jokers in White wrote:If you look at his career he's been riddled with injuries. Anyway i'm sure it's somewhat impossible to get rid of a injured player, not that a single person at the club would have, or should even consider giving it a second thought..

Assuing he's going to get fit again he is, far & away our best player. I AM concerned whether he'll get back to fitness. If he is to, though I'd use this period to get him to sign an extention tbh.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

"He had a cleanout operation three weeks ago and is feeling a lot better from that."
This is the follow up to his initial treatment I imagine. Hence the press release.
It's going to take him a while to get back to full fitness but it sounds like he's on the mend.
Lets not forget the guy had an anterior cruciate ligament injury with damaged cartilage to boot. Not as simple as a broken leg.
