Reo-Coker probably too much of an Alpha-male to climb down and go back to Euxton after essentially saying he didn't want to play with this lot in this league.

I'd rather have him than spend a fee on Spearing though!

Nixonh is half-hinting in that "I know something but am not telling you" way that Spearing might fancy Bolton over Wolves (maybe cos he likes the North West and doesn't want to move too far??)

Chris Jarvis ‏@gemchris1977
@reluctantnicko @luke_bwfc How can we be in with a chance though if Wolves want to offer money and we don't

Alan Nixon ‏@reluctantnicko
@gemchris1977 @luke_bwfc If player doesn't fancy Wolves ...

Liverpool want cash...
So Spearing is a no then.

I'm even beginning to come round to the idea of NRC coming back.

Seeing as we only seem to have money for wages.....and he seems to want to come back.

And there doesn't seem to be anyone else.....

I'd have thought if Liverpool want and need money that it was fairly irrelevant what Spearing wants. I guess, unless he holds off till after the window closes and then only a loan is possible?

well - you may say that - but you run the horrible risk of being in disagreement with what Nixon says... did you know he gets his info directly from Coyle?? he's very reliable - I'd be careful about disagreeing so blatantly...

He's not saying its a yes though is he. More that if Spearing digs his heels in and refuses to go to Wolves, that then we MIGHT be able to get him.

If Liverpool agree to a loan they don't want......

It's not been mentioned anywhere, and there's probably a million valid reasons for that (wages/temperament etc.) but...Joey Barton???

Free transfer now his move to Marseille has fallen through, would toughen up the midfield alright!

Says here in an internet 'exclusive' that we've had a £3m bid for Spearing accepted.

It is goal.com though.

Or rather like the ones Swansea fans said about Pratley, and more recently Leicester fans and others said about Mills?

Besides, I really dont see many of those comments remotely loving Spearing, unless it's been updated in the last ten mins.
The only love for him is more as being a local lad and it being a shame he never made it with them.

If it's true it's a waste of money.

Muamba insurance money? He must have been in the books as an asset worth about that much. If he started off at £5m in 2008 depreciating to nothing over life of his 4 year contract, I guess when he signed a new 4 year contract in 2010 that'd make him worth about £2.5m in 2012? I am no accountant!

Suppose his wages are to be paid to Spearing (or whoever) now too.
