Nobody is questioning the team selection, they are questioning why a team playing 4-5-1 and winning with 20 minutes to go switches to 4-4-2 and loses. DSB who was there said immediately that the substitution worried him.

It being the cup may be an excuse for playing a weakened side. I have absolutely no trouble with the team he put out to start the game. The cup has feck all to do with going from 5 to 4 in midfield when you are 1-0 up and the other side are having a good go at you. That's just stupid.

The result tonight doesn't really matter, in the same way that the pre-season results didn't matter. The point is that it's yet another game where we've made the same mistakes looking no better than the side that was so poor last season. Yet more evidence that we're not just about to click into gear and win the league, that we're fundamentally just a bad side.
