Hey guys i know we went down so maybe it doesn't do us any good but anyone else get really annoyed when we still get branded a dirty side when look at this from last season

you have chelsea and arsenal in the bottom half and yet were one of the names that always gets mentioned as the dirty team in the prem!

tbf i can't help but agree might have gave us more bite and scare the shit outta teams when they saw us lol
but then agen with davo not playin as much last season and obviously muamba's situation probly a few less cards to be fair

We got cards thrown at us last season for even looking at players. Dunno if putting it about a bit would have helped.

I don't really like thinking about last season to be honest. Didn't have much to trigger fond recollection.

Because Allardyce was very combative himself (as a manager) and wound up referees ... and because the " you can't touch my players" brigade like Wenger & Benitez (prick) screamed for protection before, during & after matches despite having some of the dirtiest players around.

We became known as a bunch of giant, skilless thugs. Got more bookings year in, year out than other clubs despite being, actually very average in physicality.

We were called big cloggers & talentless giants when we had a team with Djorkaev, Rikki Gardner, Stelios, JJ Okocha in it. So go figure.

Stoke are the lousiest, dirtiest cheating bunch of thugs I have ever seen..[90's Wimbledon included] the wholesale fouling that goes on in the stoke box whenever they defend anything is beyond a joke.. and imv must be coached..
We were physical and combative under BFS But I don't think we were ever guilty of systematically cheating in the way that Huth[?]and Shawcross et al are every time they go on the park.. Huth can't defend without at least one handful of shirt.. yet somehow they seem to get away with it?

Yep. Huth should have taken up judo or similar.

It was the same years ago with Mark Wright who perpetually had his arms of the forward's shoulders and never, ever got whistled for it.

It's as if some players play a certain way & ref's say "well, that's them, isn't it !"

Depends what you mean by 'dirty' IMO. There's a lot of dark-arts grabbing and holding goes on, but dirty to me implies some sort of malice. I don't think they are that, apart from maybe Huth. Not decided if he is evil or just clumsy as feck.
