Re: 'Ull V Bolton
I'll be very surprised if he throws a man who's only been here a day straight in and expects him to fit right off. He'll only have had a few games of ping-pong and a bit of head tennis and maybe a go at crossbar challenge. Might bring him on if we're under pressure second half, but that's all I can see.Ianmooreslovechild wrote: And being coyle he may pick Mavis again and leave Spearing on the bench which would be really stupid and frustrating and totally true to form.

Both Spearing and Mavies should play IMO, Spearing would of had pre season with Liverpool where their coaches are probably 100 times better then ours so he should be fit.

Wouldn't be stunned to see Spearing on the bench, but bear in mind that he's training right now: Image here from official twitter

I'd be very surprised if he drops Andrews. That would be surprising even for Coyle.Tals-biggest-fan wrote:Both Spearing and Mavies should play IMO, Spearing would of had pre season with Liverpool where their coaches are probably 100 times better then ours so he should be fit.

Last throw of the dice? Fcker thinks he's bulletproof. And given what he's got away with so far, so do I.
I'm genuinely 50-50 that he did the 4-4-2 swap around on Tuesday night just to piss us off, show everyone who's boss.

So on one thread we're hammering the manager because they don't think he'll get played.
On this thread he's being criticised in case Spearing does play?
I'm confused.. Maybe we've just got a bunch of feck*' numpties supporting us..

Kevin Davies will start, in the wrong formation.

Likewise and ditto KD. Hence my hope that Mavis will get time on the bench and Spearing will partner Andrews. Why would spearing need time to get familiar with our team/tactics when we dont have any?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I'd be very surprised if he drops Andrews. Win the ball and give it to Petrov/CYL /Eagles. Not tricky. Oh and on set pieces stay inside the post!
No reason to pick Mavis and Sordell ahead of KD and Andrews on this season's form.Going to be a tight low scoring game if coyle uses a bitof common sense and one we can get points in

Yes, they are...
'one last desperate throw if the dice' suggests you think Coyle his chucking him blindly without even seeing him.. Which you obviously don't agree with.
Other people will be unhappy if it's the opposite.

No. It suggests I think Coyle is on the edge of leaving the club and he has to throw Spearing in, in the hope that he comes off straight away and provides what Coyle undoubtedly sees as "the missing piece of the jigsaw".....boltonboris wrote:Yes, they are...

Not saying anything more, than I think he will start him, cos if he doesn't and we lose, he may well not get many more chances to.....

So you're sitting on the fence until you can say "See, I told you it was the wrong/right decision"

There must be what, 20 odd regular posters on this site? Why would some of them having the opposite view to others make them all 'a bunch of feck' numpties'?boltonboris wrote:So on one thread we're hammering the manager because they don't think he'll get played.

Anyway, providing the skipper is fit, I think Spearing will be on the bench. 4-4-2. Andrews and Davies.

Re: 'Ull V Bolton
If it was just a split opinion on wether it was right or wrong, then it'd be fine.. But both decisions are already deemed as the wrong one before a ball has even been kicked.
It may have been the wrong word (although I do think most Bolton fans are just that).. Perhaps I should've said judgemental numpties

I don't see any reason why he can't play? He played for Liverpool last week away at Hearts. Presumably is fit.boltonboris wrote:So you're sitting on the fence until you can say "See, I told you it was the wrong/right decision"
Trained with us this morning.
Knows the English game, Hull away will not be a culture shock.
No reason at all he shouldn't be involved IMO.
I hope he's the "missing piece of the jigsaw" but I will wait and see him play first. Personally I still don't think Coyle will set the team up correctly, so whether he will help in the long run remains to be seen.
