I'ma post what I put in the match day thread about Di Canio

"Couldn't give a shit about his views , I'm not here to study his life i'm here to support my team and watch my team win.. Paolo Di Canio has won 40 of his 63 games at Swindon and went from havin no respect from the Swindon team to having the entire team at his feet, he took control of the locker room and took them from being relegated in 10-11 season to winning the league in 11-12 he's got a smaller budget then what we have at Swindon and he makes it work because he doesn't take excuses from anyone he demands respect and demands 100% every single game for 90 minutes."
Doesn't say much about our club if we stoop so low as to hire a cretin like him. What next? Hoddle and Barton? I'll have nowt to do with the club if we go down that road.
Swindon did it, Swindon now are arguably the in form side out side of the premiership and also are undefeated this season and have just beaten Stoke in the Carling Cup
Oh, thats ok then

It's a result based business, a move for DiCanio would say the club wants such results, nothing more.

And many more than yourself will have nowt to do with the club if we make a shambles of it this year and the next.

I'm warming to our Mick since his name came up.

Yes. After he'd said he wouldn't manage in the lower divisions because he had no experience at that level, he took QPR down whilst Caretaker, and was an unmitigated disaster for them in the 2nd tier when they gave him the job. Avoid.
It was our beating of QPR that cost Ray Wilkins his job.

I wanted Curbishley when we ended up with that Stump from Liverpool after BFS, but I doubt he'd want to travel North of Watford, then or now.

I saw the 3rd goal on Sky this evening, it was an embarassment, Tyrone Mears is never a footballer as long as I've got a hole in my arse!!

Of our ex players Gudni is the one that strikes some confidence and might actually be feasible. Of the others for me that irritating scotch git Davies would be perfect, not popular he's a real fly in the ointment but he is a good manager and doesnt accept take any shit.I suppose also has the potential to be a complete megson but hey ho.

Curbishley would be good but he's very southern and doesnt seem very motivated,McCarthy might get the team up but altho i like the fella I dont think he can keep a team up. Would have had warnock last year myself altho of course plenty here would say the likes of him arent good enough for the mighty whites. Will be nice to see leeds in the top flight next year tho :D

So Gudni or Davies for me,yes Hierro was a great but really would he want to dirty his hands with players at this level when he can be coaching talented kids who idolise him in the sun.

DiCanio,hm well he's a bit of a maverick isnt he.I think at present someone steadier and more proven might be beneficial.

Thought Mick sounded good on the radio earlier and always like listening to Brownie on the radio but I never liked hearing them speak when they were in work. Think it might be a bit like front bench politicians sounding nasty until they get sacked then they get likeable.

Well, given your comment was Tyrone Mears isn't a footballer as long as you have a hole in your arse, I suppose, assuming you do in fact still have a whole in your arse, I don't actually disagree. He is shit, but he wasn't close to the worst today.

At least he's right footed

the giving coyle another transfer window cock up by gartside has robbed the next bloke the opportunity to permamentl sign a left book. We dont have one!

I'm sure the next manager will fetch one in on loan quicksharp. Coyle cant cos he'd be admitting all his defensive signings(bar Wheater) are shite and he just cant do that. A new man can.

Ricketts is fine at left back, he's just struggling with form.

If as you seem to want to, you judge everything by 'record' then champions league winning Rafa is surely the man? :?

I'd interested in his £/points ratio first. We can't keep repeating mistakes indefinitely.
