I am always, always, always offered the jobs I'm ambivalent about.

The ones I really want, not so much!

They're shortlisting today for the job I really want. I can see what's gonna happen here but hey, best suit on, winning smile fixed and ready, let's see what happens. Whatever happens, happens for a reason.

Had an interview last week and came second........to a person who was already doing the job on a temporary basis. If I'd known there was an internal candidate, I wouldn't have bothered showing up to play equal opportunities games!

You are one-armed, partially sited lesbian dwarf of mixed race and I claim my £5. That is, if you haven't spent it on crack or methadone.

You do realize, Bob, that some managers tell all unsuccessful candidates that they came second to make it an easier let down.

Just had a call to say that Our Kid (younger one) has been rushed in with a suspected acute appendicitis and is currently dosed up to the eyeballs on morphine. Just had to call Mum to let her know. She's now panicking like only a mother can do. :(

I've been on a two-day workshop over thje last couple of days. One of the topics covered included telematics in the insurance industry.

This is SUCH a can of worms.

Hope he's ok Bruce.

My drive home from work takes me through Top of the Brow estate and every October I have a chuckle at a house on the estate that puts their Xmas decorations up. They've surpassed themselves this year. They're up already  . At the moment its all the tinsel and santa posters in the windows. Around about Halloween/Bonfire night they turn all the flashing lights on.

Their kids must be hyper by Xmas eve :D

The one on Winchester Way? They were up by the 5th this year. That's not the earliest they've been up. We look out for them every year to see if they can outdo themselves. The time flies by in our house. 8)
