Eagles usually seems more likely than anyone else to come up with something in the final third, however frustrating he is at not putting his foot in / running down blind alleys etc.

Wikipedia isn't that reliable but a quick check tells me N'gog has 26 goals in 158 matches (average of a goal every 6.07 games) while Sordell has 31 goals in 102 matches (average of a goal every 3.2 games) So judging by that your statement is false, please feel free to get more reliable figures and back up your statement

Fernando Torres didn't score for just over 17 games and he is a world class striker. He may not have scored in those 17 games but he still played relatively well doing everything that's asked of a striker without actually scoring. Sordell has showed he offers more than just goals and eventually the goals will come to make him a more complete striker

Petrov may, like all wingers the World over, blow hot & cold but the only thing which holds him back is (a) the quality of the full back he's covering / being covered by (that's OUR player, not the opponent) and (b) the players he's trying to pass to actually being there & attacking his crosses.

If you think he's average I despair of you.

OK, let's be honest, I despair of you anyway, this just adds to it.

I wouldn't trust what folk post on here. Any old prick can spout nonsense in a shoddy attempt to wind people up.
I mean, someone on this website-I can't remember who-once said that Djorkaeff is the worst French player we've ever had. Go figure.

IMO Chris Eagles is by far and out our best player at the moment, what that says about the quality of the team right now I don't know but that's where I stand atm. Only player that looks to show for the ball and do something with it when he can, not shying away from the pressure of our situation. I guess he's been there before and like others say he may be playing at his level but still, if every player was putting in the effort he was atm we wouldn't be in this mess.

Owen out, Eagles in!

I'm just wondering: to what period of time does that first sentence apply?
