Wish he didn't make that move. Was a big Juve fan as a kid and think this is a real shame.
I'll probably watch him play when Sydney come to Melbourne mind. Never been to an A-League game haha

As I recall Del Piero wanted to stay at Juve but they let him go.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Per talk, I appreciate, but this ... on top of loaning out £35m Andy Carroll ... is an amazing condemnation of King Kenny.
Lerpool offered £3m cash for Dempsey.
Someone is keen to clear the shelves, big time.
The approximated fees for both Henderson & Downing were between £15m-£20m.Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was prepared to swap midfielder Jordan Henderson, winger Stewart Downing or left-back Jose Enrique to land Fulham striker Clint Dempsey, who instead moved to Tottenham.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
The owners of Juventus treated Ale very badly considering the amount of time he had spent at the club and the fact he continued to play despite the relegation because of calciopoli. I would have loved him to come to England but all love and respect from many Juventini would have been lost if he had signed for Liverpool.
If one man could have helped to reconcile the differences between those clubs it would have been Ale IMO but it could also be seen as the biggest insult to the victims signing for the club many still think as the enemy.

True, but Juve have also called Bendter a fat c*nt, so it's ok.

Arsenal have won as many league games at Anfield as Liverpool in 2012.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Please post any comments on the Hillsborough Disaster in the new thread (also in Other Footy). Let's just keep this thread for the general piss taking of our Scouse cousins.
I will move a couple of posts from here - when I finally figure out how to do it.
Thanks.

Most shocking thing was that monster who is Brendan Rodgers wife.
Closely followed by the fact he has a big fook of picture of himself in his own house.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Why Liverpool though? You'd have thought if they were going to do this sort of thing the filmakers would've at least picked a big club.
Businesswoman of the year.
Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
They have done it previously with QPR. I don't think the big clubs would even think about it.CrazyHorse wrote:Why Liverpool though? You'd have thought if they were going to do this sort of thing the filmakers would've at least picked a big club.

But they just don't learn do they ... despite a growing general interest & even some decent players now, it's not an American sport for mass support & won't be anytime soon either. It's seen as a nice non-contact kick around sport, more suitable for girls.
A bit like St. Owen's ideas I think.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
They keep chucking out this statistic that it's the most widely played sport over there now. If that is the case, then it will catch on. There is a reason it's massive the world over, and that's because it is a brilliant game; there's also a reason their sports haven't caught on across the world, and that's because they're shit!
