The Season Starts on Saturday. Watford.

Eagles sounded like he was involved in everything good going forward and Knight still solid at the back? You have to hand it to these two players. Our only performers this season.
Can't give KD any credit then for being involved all over the front and scoring two goals so far then? What does he have to do?

Much like 4-5-1 is the magic tactic ... Until it isn't
SKD being done and responsible for all our ills is the next super theory / easy answer..
Like Matt Taylor being shit and a couple of hundred similar bags of bollox over the years :-)
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

Yes a win is a win but ffs come on that 2nd half was fcuking abysmal, we we're playing Watford not Man U or Chelsea FFS - just what the fcuk does Coyle actually contribute to this club, I can't stand him - I'm not sure if its the players who lack confidence or Coyle himself, he's a rank bad manager regardless of the result and to me the players know he's out of his depth - talk about square pegs in round holes !

Defensively we must be one of the worst teams in this league, we urgently need a new defensive coach because at the back we are shambolic, and why are we so unfit - they need to stop playing darts & ping pong during the week and work hard on fitness, and then work on it some more....because this team are knackered after 60 mins in the championship against Watford who are one of the poorer teams in the league.

Just got in.. Happy for the win but the second half was a joke of a performance.

Few things from the game..

Spearing was the best player on the pitch today all over the place and looks a good signing. Alonso also did well along with eagles and Davo on each of the goals.

Why does he play Mavies on the wing? He never plays out there and always ends up drifting back in the middle.

The booing of the Andrews sub for Pratley was pathetic.. Andrews was shite and wasn't up to it so Pratley was a good sub IMO to put a foot in and pressure Watford in the middle which he did well.

Afobe was shite when he came on and don't see why we are playing him when our own player (Sordell) could have done the same if not better. The lad needs games to build confidence.. What must he be thinking?

Will petrov ever see the first team this season?

Just back. Chuffed we won. Well deserved on chances but we surrendered a lot of possession in the 2nd half and looked increasingly jittery. Main thing though wa to get 3 points.

Have to say there were some real charlies at the game today though. I know next to nobody has any faith in Coyle anymore but there were plenty couldn't wait to have a go. I dread to think what the atmosphere would have been like if we'd conceded first because as soon as they did score there were folk having little tantrums everywhere. Yes it was a flawed performance, yes there are problems throughout but No we dont have a divine right to steam roller over every side that comes to the Bok this year.

Positives - SKD again, Zat Knight - who was again teriffic, Mills uncultured but effective, Spearing & Eagles
Negatives - Mavies -just doesn't seem to fit anywhere in a midfield 4, Andrews & Mears with their poor distribution and Alonso who I just cant see making it even at this level

That was very poor. The second half, after he gave one of his infamous half-time pep talks, was abysmal.

Watford were pathetic, but we allowed them to dominate the second half.

So, 3 points, accompanied by more Chaos from the Captain of it.

STILL big boot up front from the keeper. he clearly wants not to, so it must be "tactics".
Kavies AND N'Gog starting up front ??? Sheesh. Someone suggested it earlier in the week & I mocked them. I apologise. Not for mocking, but for totally overestimating Coyle.
Leaving Kavies on the whole game when he was totally not up for it.
Mavies on a wing, while Petrov & Lee sat the whole match out ?????
Mears on the pitch while Ricketts wasn't.
Afeobi on as sub while Sordell must have been chomping at the bit to get on. Sordell must now feel like he made the biggest mistake of his life late January. I can't comment on whether he's any cop, as I rarely see him, but today was sinful to the lad.

I'm glad we pocketed 3 points, but also that, shirley, St. Owen is another step nearer that exit.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

SKD scores and holds up play well and he doesn't deserve to be on the pitch?
Can understand mentioning Petrov but then Lee played two games for South Korea during the week and the amount he's travelled I'm not surprised he's not played.
Also four points off the top and we're still complaining? Alright fans don't like Coyle but we won.

Not me, not with the options we'd have available to us. Unless by the looks of it Brendan Rogers would be available? :)
