First half we came out of the blocks and played like we should be doing in this division, against a team who are one of the worst I've ever seen at the Reebok.

Second half, we went to pieces at times and even though i feel Coyle is tactically inept, I don't think he can be blamed for the team playing deeper and deeper as the minutes ticked by. Knight (MOTM for me) was trying to push the back four further up the field but kept bumping into a back peddling midfield.

N'Gog was out on his feet after 60 minutes, but I thought he played a blinder, chased every ball, hassled and harried their back four and was well placed for every SKD knock down. By contrast, Afobe looked like a Billy Big Time who couldn't be arsed. Sordell every time for me. Had we changed N'gog for Sordell and put Petrov on for Eagles after 70 minutes, I felt we would have walked it.

Still, 3 points is 3 points.

always been optimistic, just that watching us lose so much and lose badly especially against those six fingered inbred tw*ts kicks the sh*t out of you

It's not great when it happens but fans need to embrace the win. The negativity around Coyle at the game today translates to the atmosphere on the pitch. Sounds stupid but we as fans have a big part to play

How many home games are left? Cos right now I've never felt more short changed for forking out for a season ticket than I do now.

The football on offer is the most dour, talentless one paced lifeless characterless shite I can remember in a long long long long time.

Add to that a clueless manager and coaching staff and well...

I'd love for someone to make a convincing case that today at any point we seriously looked like a side capable of winning this division.

First half was average at best if I'm being generous.

Second half was abysmal.

Watford are one of the worst sides I have seen for a long time and we struggled to beat them. And let's not forget they hit the bar and had one scrambled off the line and a last ditch Mears block stopped them equalising in the second half.

I hope this result does 'kick us off ion a convincing run' but I don't see it. Genuinely don't.

Spearing is a positive, looks decent at winning the ball.

Eagles is playing his knackers off.

Knight is holding a shite backine just about together. As ever Alonso looked good when he had no real winger up against him, and Ngog showed his usual movement and holdup play but shat himself as soon as he got in and around the box with the ball at feet

But for the players we've got we just aren't producing the sort of form of performances you'd expect.

Oh and Mark Davies still looks 'larger' than I'd expect a pro footballer to look. IMHO.

Amazed you feel like this. 1st game v Derby was an entertaining affair where we won 2-0. The Forest game was a cracker. Todays was probably the nearest you could describe as dull but still had chances at both ends. I'm more than happy with my ST.

Your last line seems to forget all those dreadful games under Sam when we strangled the life out of any free flowing football not to mention some of the fun fests under Gary Megson.

Every season I say how shite it is? Really is that true? I don't think so.

I'm not enjoying watching us now because it is absolutely shocking. I knew when we had it good in the premiership and if you'd cared to notice had pointed it out at the time to the likes of PT etc.

Anyhow, far be it from those that when to the game and watched it with their own eyes when the radio mob can tell us how it really is.....

Hg - derby were dire!

Im still not convinced we are as fit as the rest of the division. We're certainly light years behind the teams Sam built in fitness terms.

Under Allardyce we mixed it with the best of them.

Under Megson it may have been dour at times but also home games against City and Spurs in particular had more entertainment in them than weve seen all season.

The football we play is ugly. And if you're ugly you'd best be good. And we are not.

Took me 5 and a half hours to get to the game (travelled up from Kent) and was well worth it! The Reebok is also a fantastic looking stadium.

Anyway here are my thoughts on the players performance:

Bogdan: looked nervous when going to collect high crosses.

Meears: a solid display but crossing in the final third is poor.

Mills: good headed goal but I noticed whenever he gets the ball he just hoofs it up the pitch aimlessly.

Knight: still looks clumsy but fairly dominant in the air.

Alonso: looks good going forward and committed in the tackles.

Mavies: busy on the ball done a good job on the right side but should have put it on a plate for pratley to make it 3-1.

Andrews: very poor I'm afraid, pulling out of tackles brought boos from the fans.

Spearing: committed in every tackle and can run till the cows come home.

Eagles: delivery on set pieces was top notch, set up both goals BUT like Andrews he pulled out of a few challenges.

Davies: too slow but committed to the Cause. Dominant in the air.

Ngog: did nothing to impress me, casually jogs into the box when on the attack.

Oh and also, does Coyle not tell his players to close down opponents? And why oh why do we not have someone on the halfway line when defending a corner!?

How did he manage that when he was never there all game? Constantly drifted inside with Mears having the right side of the field to himself!

Matt Mills was just a bit delighted at scoring, wasn't he. :D

Ask for a refund then. You don't have to go.

So we won. 2-1.

I don't know what you want.

Please Bolton win 14-0. Be 7 nil up by half time. If not then I will express my discuss on this pointless forum.

Fook me! We won didn't we?! Enjoy it, it might not happen that often. I thought we were miles on top of an admittedly shit Watford team first half (I thought our lot were shit at defending set pieces?!). Could have been out of sight. We were shit second half, but there were fecking boos at full time! There are a lot of dicks among our fans. Knight, Spearing and Kev outstanding, Mills not far behind, Eagles typically involved, sometimes shit sometimes good, as long as we get goals from it it'll do for me. The rest very meh. Win's a win. I'd love to believe it's a turning point (we do seem to have got beyond back four and then randomness. It's now back four, Spearing in front, and randomness, I've no idea what that first half shape was, and then second KD and one of MD or Eagles up top with Afobe wide?!) but I'll enjoy the win ta.

Pratley wasn't shit! Still think Sordell has to be in there somewhere, and given how shite they were with balls into the box I was surprised Petrov didn't appear, but I'm enjoying the first live win I've seen in ages!
