I just hope when the new manager comes in we don't clear house. This team is good enough to get us promoted.

We've dropped quite a few points but nothing that can't be turned around.

How many more "worried" threads do we need?

Right now, we're only three points away from 3rd position in the league. It really is very tight, and there's no need for panic.

I watched the Blackburn/Boro game last night and there wasn't anything i seen from Blackburn (who lost for the first time this season) that made me think they are miles ahead in terms of play etc.. this season it will go right down to the wire IMO.

Yeah, I agree. There is very little difference between the top and bottom sides in this league. Every game is tough and there'll be plenty of upsets.

Isnt it a rather mediocre dicision this year. The sort that a premier class team should stroll through but a team that will come straight back down will crawl out of. We've looked as average as the teams we've played. ie pretty poor

Maybe, just maybe they are suffering from a relegation hangover and will now start to improve.

We won't do it with a 2-man midfield though Owen...

Blood in your poo? See Dr Terry Bowley (not a made up name) and he will shove your piles back up with some sort of blunt instrument.

We're only three points away if no-one above us plays. In reality we need a series of wins on the bounce in order to move into a playoff place. A tight league is a bad thing too, it means it's very hard to gain ground on the teams around us.

not quite yet..but..yesterday was the first time I've seen us play a side we should win against and looked confident against the expectation and the pressure. Even when we used to play sides like Lincoln at home in the cup yesterday was the first time we looked a class apart. Lets not hope it was merely a flash in the pan...

Aside from the fact that 3rd position would represent failure, it's early in the season. We would have to have been spectacularly bad to have lost touch already.

And that's what worries me more than anything. The increasingly likely scenario whereby we're never terrible enough to cost the manager his job, but never consistent enough to finish in the top two.

That's a brand I've not come across before, but I'd say at least one pair of keks and a couple of T-shirts.
That's not a leopard!
