What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

In the match v lunch face off, the lunch won.......thank God.

Spent a lovely hour and a half in Sahara, a Lebanese restaurant in Wilmslow. I have to say its some of the best food we've had for a while. It took some time to come to the table (which hopefully meant it was freshly prepared - it certainly seemed to be) but was well worth the wait. A selection of starters and a mixed kebab main was easily enough for the 3 of us at a shade under 50 quid with drinks.

I commend it to you, well worth a visit if you're in that part of town.

Here's one for cookery experts. I'm looking at having a go at a recipe I saw for baking a cake. One of the instructions tells me to use an electric whisk. I dont have one of these. Would using an electric blender instead be really bad? What's the difference between the two?

i made a hugh fearnley shittingstall recipe tonight - from his river cottage veg book (now a major TV series!)

thinly sliced onion - "sweated" in oil for abt 8mins
then - grated fresh ginger, chili flakes, garlic and curry paste stirred in
then add tin of chickpeas
then add 5tblspns of ketchup
add lemon juice..

serve with naan bread

VERY VERY simple and quick - but - YUM!! - taste explosion!

Yes it would. The whisk adds air to the mixture.

A chef once told me that blokes can't make decent crumble due to the temperature of our fingers. Having seen thebish's splendid efforts I'm minded to ring said chef up and tell him he's talking absolute bollocks!

Crumble's a piece of piss. A bit like saying a warmed handed gardner can't mow the grass. However, some more slightly involved pastry work seems to benefit from not being warmed up, so having warm hands can be an impedement. Thats not male/female, just down to circulation.

Shirley having a bowl of cold water next your mixture to dip your hands in would combat that?
