Reading the BN website today, apparently OC was happy with the performance on Saturday (the performance was no where near good enough (IMHO)) according to OC we did enough to win (don't know what game he was watching but no we did not do enough otherwise we would have won Owen)

If he came out and stated yes I have made some mistakes with the tactics or personnel and is looking to rectify it. This would at least mean he has a grasp of how badly we are playing.

I do not want us to lose this match against Leeds but I do want OC OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I would sooner have Sammy Lee in charge yes we lost but at least he did not make excuses!!

He seems to me to be an effective successful manager with a proven track record of getting teams promoted.I havent found him obnoxious but then perhaps I've not been following as closely as you . TBH I'm beginning to think obnoxious but effective may be less annoying than nice but useless

Always liked Warnock ever since he managed Argyle good manager can be a bit of a cock but when you consider the knob we got in charge he's normal

Just to clarify I don't want LSL in charge he would just be better than what is in there at the moment or maybe not

I'm happy to take your word for it Bobo but I just look at leeds and previously QPR and Sheff U. He knows his way out of the championship.

He knew his way out of it before it was called that - took Notts County from the third tier (past us in the semis) to the first in 1990 and 91, then back down in 92. Took Huddersfield up from the third in 95 via the play-offs then did the same the following season with Plymouth, as our bouncing-breasted avatar will attest.

But then, one promotion in 15 years. In the late 90s he went to Oldham and Bury, where managers go to die, and in 1999 oversaw the Shakers' demotion from the second tier. That's right, the division Bolton are in now. Things were very different then, children.

In eight seasons at Sheffield United he took them up once and straight back down again – although obviously that was because of Carlos Tevez, as Dave "Dave Whelan" Whelan was prepared to fight alongside the Blades in the courts, right up until Wigan stayed up then he mysteriously lost his phone.

Palace: lost in the second-tier play-offs. QPR: went up then got sacked. Leeds: signed Paul Robinson.

I'm glad Neil Warnock exists (better than a faceless nobody) but I've never particularly wanted him managing my club... even if he hates Gary Megson.

Nice potted history. It's still a pretty good record but as you show he never keeps a team up. Could be argued that finances are a factor. I do still believe he would be better than coyle but then as others have stated one of grandmas loose farts may have more managerial talent than coyle.

Interesting that Warnock was perceived as Captain Longball back in the 90s but that's worn off a bit. QPR went up playing a 4-2-3-1 built round yer man Taarabt. Dunno about Leeds, though I know they changed a lot of players in the summer.
