The Bury Job
I know Blackwells got the Bury job, but look who else threw their hats in the ring

I dont care about Bury, they're a small town club with a small town ground and attitide, but it saddens me to see that Phil Brown is so desperate to get back into football that he'll consider the Bury job
I like Phil Brown, he very nearly became our manager once, was a good player for us and has a right good laugh inside him
So my message to Brownie - forget the shakers - they're crap and your better than that - keep yer chin and your sun tan up and something better will eventually come along

Re: The Bury Job
Hmm how many championship and league one jobs have come and gone elsewhere since he's been out of work? Doesnt seem like they and certainly not prem clubs are beating a path to his door.

I know it says "...both men were thought to be interested", but a bit surprised that one of the names was Sammy Lee...

Can't say I was astonished, although I'd rather hoped he'd realised that he might not be best cut out to be the main man.Worthy4England wrote:I know it says "...both men were thought to be interested", but a bit surprised that one of the names was Sammy Lee...

Even the Bury job must be marginally better than spending his Saturday's on GMR?

Gary Megson didn't get the job then?
I've crossed a personal rubicon here, a bit like the crashing realisation that santa doesn't exist, or your grandad pulling 10p's from behind your ear is just a trick and not real magic.
There is just no justice in this world.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: The Bury Job
Phil Brown played at that level pretty much all his career...
Has he really shown himself to be so far above it as a manager?
I like him - don't get me wrong. But I don't want him to manage Bolton.
