Re: Fab's autobiography
The only time and reason one would pick up Steve Bruce's book in a hurry is if you suspected it was absorbent.

Anyway, might a better title for Muamba's book not have been 'Shooting at the Moon'?

Yep exactly that. I don't really like football autobiographies.Bruce Rioja wrote:Mate - wtf?BWFC_Insane wrote: If you ever want a really really really bad one, read Steve Bruce's. Shocking!
If you lined up every book ever written by every footballer (in English) I'm pretty sure that anything by that potato-headed nugget would be my last pick. Did someone buy it you or summat, they having employed that mode of logic - Ooooh, Our BWFC_I likes football so I'll get him that?
And I got it as an unwanted birthday present years back.
Read a few chapters and had to put it down, it was absolutely shite.
It is the only book I've ever started reading and not finished, as I HAVE to finish stuff even if its rubbish. But in this case, it was so monumentally dull that I gave up!

I'm sure he was insured but at 24 that shouldn't have been his last contract.General Mannerheim wrote:you dont think he was insured?Jez wrote:A lot of far far less interesting people have written autobiographies than fabrice. no problem with him milking these sad recent events for cash either when they took his wages away.
incidently, did the club pay up his contract or just tear it up?

Re: Fab's autobiography
I imagine his insurance would cover his loss of potential future earnings.
OUR insurance would cover the cost of his current contract

I doubt he'll be going without.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I imagine the only people thinking about money here is the publisher who, rightly, sees this as a good story.
Family politically persecuted
Grew up in a warzone
Fled to London not speaking a word of English at 10
Works hard, studies hard, earns qualifications, wants to be an accountant
Becomes Premiership footballer instead
Some incident at White Hart Lane involving miracles
Perhaps it will inspire some teenage lads to get off their arses? Maybe that's what Fab has in mind.
