What are you watching tonight?

Thought it's been underwhelming so far to be honest, but thought Saturday's was cracking.

Considering how good I thought last week's was, this one was one of the best of the show's run I think. Absolutely brilliant.
Just watched it. Best of the season for me. Agree with you, Bruce, that the opposition episodes are far funnier than the coaltion ones.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
Agreed that the first two of the series seemed slow. It's always going to be hard introducing new characters into it, as well as old ones into different arenas.
But after about an episode and a half of place-setting it's absolutely roared back to form. Last week's was great for me, Mannion is an amazing character. Then this gem comes along and cleans house. Ramped up to a frenzy until the inevitable explosion of the end.
Really finding it hard to find a fault with anything in that episode.

Good night of telly planned.
Last nights British Bake Off, ep 1 of the new season of Two and a Half Men from the other night and then the final show of that ITV drama-doc about the wife of the train robber; Mrs Biggs. It's been ok so far but I'm interested to see how it pans out...will they catch Ronnie or will he live his life on the run? Who knows?
Then tomorrow night...Red Dwarf X.

You're going to be very very very very very very disappointed with last night's Great British Bake Off. There's no suspense; the denouement is obvious from the off, but I won't spoil it by telling you who goes.CrazyHorse wrote:Good night of telly planned.

I haven't seen the bake off from yesterday either.
Trouble with this series is that its blindingly obvious who wins, so the rest feels just a little pointless.

See I don't think he's going to win it at all; they want us to think that but I'm not so sure. I reckon those two student lads both are in with a shout. Probably the Scotch one is the better of the two. Maybe.BWFC_Insane wrote:I haven't seen the bake off from yesterday either.

Perhaps but then they'd have to do a masterchef, give it to the random just to throw everyone off the scent thing.CrazyHorse wrote:See I don't think he's going to win it at all; they want us to think that but I'm not so sure. He's basically "won" every week, and only didn't "win" when they felt they "had" to give it to someone else.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Ah but it's a bit like watching football, everybody thought Man U had the Premiership in the bag last season, but you have to wait until the very end to get the winner. You didn't see it last night, so you don't know how big a failure 'the winner bloke with glasses' was. Epic failure. But I'll not tell you who won.BWFC_Insane wrote:Perhaps but then they'd have to do a masterchef, give it to the random just to throw everyone off the scent thing.CrazyHorse wrote:See I don't think he's going to win it at all; they want us to think that but I'm not so sure. No Marx was the last.William the White wrote:Watched the BBC2 documentary about Karl Marx and whether his ideas illuminated the current crisis of capitalism...
The conclusion was that they did, but his solutions wouldn't work (or that he didn't really offer any - which is more accurate, I think).
First of a series on economics thinkers - Keynes next, Hayek last...
A pretty good start...
They already showed the Keynes and Hayek programmes.
