So for the time-being it's a 'bandwagon' but give it all of four games and you're happy to jump on board?

I'd imagine most people don't chant "Coyle Out" because such an atmosphere doesn't help the players. Fortunately we get to express our thoughts freely to friends/family/forums. This thinly-veiled "I'm a better fan than you" routine is really tedious.
Didnt stop the fans with Megson. I aint saying at all im a bigger fan than anybody. Last season we was unlucky went down on the last day when we had our 2 key players in chung and Holden out for virtually a full year and Cahill leaving in Jan. Just need to give the players more time to adjust to life in this league, The results will come and we will still get promoted!
Alright, I'll stick my bollocks on the line. Someone can shift this to the prediction thread. With Coyle in charge, no, we fecking won't get promoted. We probably won't even reach the playoffs.
He took a poor Burnley side up, He will take an average Bolton side up.. Theres another 37 games left. 37! Behave and give him time
We gave him time last season and he took us down.

Which was a disgrace in itself.

Your positivity, while admirable, is misplaced. Over the past 18 months, what has occurred to give you such unshakable belief that the current management set-up is anywhere near adequate to get us promoted?

This makes so little sense in oh so many ways.
1) take a look at the poll results, and then ask yourself, half the people?
2) If you've not heard anybody calling for Coyle to go, then how come it's a bandwagon?
3) Is it compulsary to chant stuff at the match; bet you've not heard "X-factor is shit" but half the people on here probably think it is?

I think they'd just spotted Bruce's shirt: it was a gentle hint about his lacy number.
I take it my sprightly one-man rejoinder of "You're not fit to wear my shirt" right back at t'em slipped under the audio radar then?! Ah well. :(

I wonder if this is the first season he's started going to games. The atmosphere is horrible; it's lethargic, and resigned. That's as good as chanting "Coyle Out" for 90 minutes, because that's what he's done to us.

Season ticket holder for the last 4. My point being I havent heard as much 'coyle is crap' comments of many of the fans near me whereas it seems everybody on here wants him out.

Heard that myself but I was in North Upper so wasn't sure if they'd 'outed' a Leeds fan and he was getting chucked out or something along those lines.

I have been in the "give him a few more games camp" for much of the season, but we need a solid 90 minute performance bloody quickly as only turning up for, at the most, half an hour a game is going to cripple us if it keeps happening. FWIW, I've seen plenty of spleen-venting at Coyle since day one of the season.

Then surely you see the difference in the atmosphere? Maybe we've learned from the poison that was Megson's reign. That doesn't mean the vast majority don't want him gone. FWIW I'm hearing more and more anti-Coyle comments around me recently.

I was looking down from East upper, as far as I could tell it was aimed at Coyle. I thought it was pretty embarrassing but each to their own.

I'm all for voicing opinions, god knows I've ranted on here just recently, but when you get to the ground and the lads are on the pitch, I really believe the fans need to get behind them.

Some will argue that it isnt aimed at the players which is right but I think they feed off the negativity regardless of who it is aimed at.

:whack:

The points totals are not static and increase as the games increase, for us to move into the playoffs we need the points average of the teams there. Currently this is about 1.77 ppg, to achive this we must win 4 in a row so in real terms we are 12 points off a playoff place.

At present form we will be out of the running for the playoffs by 1st December because it will require us to average 2ppg for the remainder of the season.

We were only 3 wins off mid table last season so thats not too bad surely?

I reckon if we win a couple of games and everyone else loses things will soon look a lot better. Simple stuff really. Dont know what all the fuss is about.

Just seen on twitter that a bolton fan has been told be an "extremely reliable source" that Coyle has been sacked and he's waiting for the official announcement. He goes on to say "...very credible source though so I can see it being true".

Gotta love twitter....

The fact is that things are not improving. Each week we say, 'we're still on a handful of points off the top' and we cannot keep saying this. There are no signs of improvement, nor have there been for a very long time. We win one game, build optimism, and then drably lose the following. Things aren't going to improve. To win automatic promotion in this division you have to, at some point, go on a run. This team, under this management, seems incapable of doing that. I have no hope.
