Your money?! Your bloody money??!!

Why I've been subsidising you this last year...

(as it happens, I've left it there as a downpayment for next year. I'd only spend it and then be screwed when they tell me next year they've f*cked up and I owe £10k or something).
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Strangely I received a refund from my car mileage consultants. They paid me twice as much back as I gave them last year. I contacted them twice to say that it must be an error but they said they hadn't made a mistake.

So swings and roundabouts (but like you it's sat in my account waiting for them to (eventually) come back to me)

Ditto.

I've an overpayment, of quite a few grand, but have elected to set it against next years, almost inevitable, underpayment.

Had this for the last four years. I'm PAYE but for some reason the information issued by my Payroll Dept. (next door to HR - the bastards) doesn't marry with the Tax code I have. I owe nearly 3 grand in tax which I'm having to pay off over the next 3 years.
You're lucky they let you. Last year, the b*stards just wiped out all but 200 quid of my months salary without telling me! I had no idea I'd even underpaid but they decided to take it all back in one go.

fecking stuff that keeps messing with my fecking Firefox tabs.

I have a nice little add-on that sets up new tabs to be my homepage. Yet every fecking week some fecking little feck of a program presumes to feck up my tabs by ramming itself into them... first it was babylon search - then searchnu/searchqu - i've purged them - now AVG has updated itself and presumed to feck them up again!!!

enough already with fecking up my tabs - you fecking tab-feckers!!! feck off!!!

Searchnu/qu is an absolute cnut Bish! I finally got rid of it with a special program. Unfortunately this program went all Ryan Atwood on my existing anti malware and there was hell to pay. Took me three days to fix!

Over here, so long as you file you are okay even if you underpay. If you owe a lot they send you a letter (well they do if you only owe a little). Then you can negotiate. So long as you are talking the issue back and forth they do not (probably cannot) garnishee your salary. Eventually you agree on a timeline for repayment. Mind you there's interest on the unpaid amount at 5% pa. They would have to take you to court to garnishee your salary. As would you ex-wife and other unmentionables.

Coming on here early on to see the last poster on 9 topics was the same person.

Something of a sinking feeling.

Remember when it dropped to -20 the winter before last? Well that's when mine decided to pack up, right then. You could see your breath in my living room. Ace!
