Re: Where are they now: Per Frandsen
Per was always one of my favourite players. Did the simple thing every time. Win the ball, pass the ball, win the ball, pass the ball.
Can you imagine that now?
edit - When I say 'pass' the ball I actually meant to 'one of our players.'
I know - crazy!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Re: Where are they now: Per Frandsen
One "Per" moment I won't forget was him getting the nod from the ref to take a quick free kick. He put the ball down and it was in the back of the net while the opposition defence were still thinking about it. Can't remember who it was against though?

The back heel roll he did against Derby County when they were quite decent at the Reebok, I think we drew 3-3.

This game. Remember it being a belter.jaffka wrote:The back heel roll he did against Derby County when they were quite decent at the Reebok, I think we drew 3-3.
Was the quick free kick not one of the Leicester 5-0 goals, Tango? In fact no it wasn't after watching this video....well worth a look all the same though!

Aye, but I remember them making their debuts away at Port Vale, and we're like "Are we sure it's him that looks like Alan Ball that cost all the money?"officer_dibble wrote:Colin todd (on the basis he paid more for the ginger one)? any others?a1 wrote:thing i remember most about per fransen is the r-tards that thought micheal johansen were better.

Apples and Pers, surely?
One a diminutive winger who was my first 'favourite player', mainly because I was about 2'4" until I was 16. The other a proper central midfielder. Engine, good on the ball, strong in the tackle, popped up with his fair share of goals.

Aye, but on their debut Frandsen (little more than a makeweight in the deal) ran the show and somehow didn't shatter the Vale bar into a billion splinters with a rocket, whereas Johansson was hardly involved. Hence the questioning.Prufrock wrote:Apples and Pers, surely?

The 5-0 victory away at Leicester, a very nice way to start a season - made two, scored two, bossed the entire match. Real, honest player.

Re: Where are they now: Per Frandsen
I once bought Per a drink in Yates in Bolton (see how I called him Per, we're on first name basis now you see) for being one of my favourite players. He thanked me, I asked him how was Wigan (who he was playing for at the time) and he said "it's not the best", laughed and walked off.

"Crop" - there's a word I've not heard in a while! (in terms of a foul football tackle, that is) A word from the era of tickertape etc, classic!Porrohman wrote:The crop on Robbie Savage from behind the season after the 2-2, 9 men Leicester match, all the crowd stood up an applauded feck magic
