Ironic really.
The same powerful affinity to the club that led him to join us (when we all wanted him) will be the very samer reason we'll be stuck with him (now we don't want him!).

One of the saddest aspects is he is convinced he is doing all the right things for the future success of the club and I for one believe he is honest in his words. What he doesn't say is that on that journey we may drop down a division, recover and move on from there. From my own, perhaps biased, perspective I see a club not getting points, not winning, not even drawing but on a headlong rush to relegation. I can't believe some or all of the players haven't advised him that his tactics aren't working, that the fans are at least a little bit restless, that the tables, published weekly are also an indication that such tactics aren't working. Someone up there sometime has to tell him he's a lovely bloke but that alone doesn't win games. I think the international break would allow a new bod to seat in but I have a sneaky suspicion that ED and PG will keep him until Christmas unless his plan starts to bear fruit. 8)

He's taken the "it's out of my hands ... but I understand if it has to be, it has to be" a few times now.

I guess that there's a difference in compensation between the getting the boot and jumping.

If he really does want what's best for the club then he should simply pack his stuff & go. That's pretty clear by now. He won't because he. quite reasonably, also wants what's best for him.

I love that he's managing to reduce 18 months of abject failure to "this week" and that "if this week had gone well we'd be challenging". While that may be a fact, as an interpretation of events, what a pile of old doodie that is.

You know, if he really has set up a magnificent and sustainable future for us then giood for him, maybe a role in the Director of .... post is a calling. But at the moment we see little evidence of it he sure can't pick a football team, nor inspire it & his best option is to cease trying.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Twitter in "random brain farts being committed instantly to the electronic ether are actually worthless" shocker.

Is there anything thats ever been invented with less discernible merit?

If it doesn't I'm sure the pair of them have a date in mind to get rid of the plum.

I'll give you X-Factor.

But Sweden? Ursula Andress? And don't lie to me and pretend you haven't sung along to Dancing Queen in your car at full volume at least once in your life.

Its just putting off the inevitable

Iles at the BN is shocking for ith though...we win a game and it becones a 'new dawn' and everythings rosy...we lose and the past 18 months are forgotten about. People have been pointing his faults out for a year. Opposition managers capitalising on them. Its emberaassing listening to the same guff being trotted out. He wont turn it round. He's never going to make a manager until he learns from his mustakes. His coaching staff are yes men who havent got a clue. He needs to go and they need to go. We'll be in a relegation fight at Christmas with rot truly set in

This ten game thing.

Is it fact, or just an arbitrary figure collectively agreed upon?

Doesn't look like it's going to happen in the international break, the club might be thinking it's the ideal time to get our heads down and work on improving stuff.

The next 4 fixtures after the break: Bristol City, Wolves, 'Boro' and Cardiff. :|
