Too easy to say Coyle out. How do we go forward from here?

Less ping pong, more yoga, no liquid nitrogen cocktails.
That's not a leopard!

Unfortunately, Coyle is suffering from the same delusion.
I actually think that's about right.

The only time we kept the ball and used in the final third in the first half against Millwall was when it went through Davies.

It might be that Davies' presence has a negative effect on how we play, and that discussion has been happening for years, but I think he is still doing his own job quite well, especially as this level.

Another moment in the second half against Millwall - he chased a lost cause, muscled their left-back off the ball, made it to the byline and put in a terrific cross that Eagles nearly scored from. Still a role for Davies this year under whoever comes in, for me.

You may be right, but if so it has to be in a mix of styles, not our only one.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

...and that mix of styles has to be coached in. Early in Coyle's reign we seemed able to mix up between longer and shorter passing - indeed, we often went "back to front" quickly then played it about in the top third. Recently, we have seen less inclination to pass the ball - witness the reaction to Bogdan rolling out to a full-back - and we've returned to the old problem of players under pressure taking the easy option of knocking long, which more often than not loses possession.
