Took the words out of my mouth, BWFCI doesn't like, that can only be a positive.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:One of the criteria I look for in a candidate is your disapporoval.BWFC_Insane wrote:A fascist?mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I don't think we'd get him, but Di Canio is very much in the mould I am looking for.
I hate to drive traffic in this website's direction, but this recent article is interesting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... l-too.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
IAMOUT!
He's not really a fascist... it's a complex cultural thing.
Apparently he used to write a column in Corriere della Sera regularly denouncing the idiocy of racism.

Anyway, Billy Davies for me, followed by this Hill fella. I'd take McCarthy, think he's better than he's been given credit for, and same goes for Schteve.

Funny but now he's gone it feels a bit of an anti-climax, a bit like Xmas as a kid..

No No No
A thousand times No.
Billy Davies can cause more trouble in 1 day than Roy Keane could in a Year
Better still - put them in a room together and let them fight themselves to a standstill
What goes around may still come around

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?
by my reckoning we done the jobbing manager/ serial failure with Megson .. so that rules out for me McCarthy, Davies et al
and we've done the "Bolton legend" ex player with Coyle .. so not that alternative.
i dunno - a proper interview process involving foreigners and lower league bods might be the answer...

Right, this is just a suggestion and I can't decide whether he's wildly out of our league and could potentially fancy being a boss, but Dennis Bergkamp is currently assistant manager at Ajax...

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?
Thomas Tuchel. Has made Mainz into the 'Bolton of the Bundesliga', is a very clever chap who reminds me a lot of Jurgen Klopp (who funnily enough had the Mainz job before Tuchel!). Tactically astute, has experience of small budget clubs and has potential as well as ambition (ok a move to Wanderers would be sideways/down, but then the potential to move up is good).
Re: Now he's gone, who's next?
If not him, go for Guardiola... even if it's replied to with fits of laughter, at least we tried.
Go on Phil, give Pep a ring, he might fancy it!

It links to an article thanking him on the cincinati football club (soccer) website - he's returning to england for family reasons; his kids in our academy etc...jaffka wrote:what does it say on his twitter?

it needs someone who "knows football" on the interview process though
hint to phil
that wouldnt be billy davies' agent
Re: Now he's gone, who's next?
On what planet, btw, would anyone go for Billy Davies over McCarthy?! Both successful in this division, McCarthy even more so, both shit in the one above, Davies even more so (his Derby team broke Mick's record for wankness). Neither has a reputation for being great to watch, and Davies is a cock and McCarthy is a dude!
