Just seen Slaven Bilic on odds-checker. 80/1 I'd have him. :P

He was at Swansea, either prior to, or just after Martinez. Likes his teams to play attractive football, doesn't know too much about defending, ........er....

It really is Campo! Obviously not going to get the job but I do love his enthusiasm for the club, especially after being disappointed at how he left.

Completely wrong.
Although Swansea finished the season with a record amount of clean sheets with 25 clean sheets in 46 games, the team would only manage a measly 40 goals in 46 games
Sousa was at Swansea at least a pretty defensive minded coach.

However, IIRC the players there did not like his training methods as he did not do any fitness work.

Good article after reading this I would love Di Canio at Bolton, yes he brings a lot of baggage but the rewards could be great! He meets all the criteria he is young (for a manger), ambitious, driven, and we will always have a smile on our face with this guy on the touchline. Could be good???

There's 'baggage' and there's 'baggage'.

Di Cani-NO!
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Di Canio gets my vote too. I think he would be brilliant. Definitely instill some discipline around the 'Bok.

I think of all the candidates he has proven himself adept at handling players especially shaking them out of lethargy, which most of our players are currently showing. He would take our club by the scruff of the next and give it a good shaking which IMHO is needed.

I am sick and tired of watching these journey men managers trawl from one club to the next being average and still being given a job??

I would prefer to see an enthusiastic manager with a wealth of football knowledge such as Di Canio than an average one like McCarthy!

Ah the old nazi saluter who punches his black players..

Get him in, I say!

As I said in another thread, I'd find a new team to support if he was appointed.

In fairness, Martinez credited De Souza as being the person who laid the foundations for what Swansea are now.. A particular style. Martinez then added the personnell and then Rodgers made it tick..

Sousa was manager after Martinez? Unless we're getting our wires crossed......

You mean this player http://thewashbag.com/2011/08/31/leon-c ... got-to-go/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I don't know why you felt the need to point out "Black". He is a man. Regardless of colour. Di Canio has nothing to do with Nazis.

Nice to see you left out what actually led up to the bust up.

Fascism is a political ideology. It does not mean a person is racist. There is absolutely no reason to tar Di Canio with such a slur, when everything suggests that he isn't racist.

I just don't want a fascist in charge of the playing side of the club, tbh.
