Loool.
Well, I'm a big fan of a Pinot Noir as well. I mean that reassuringly, although I'm not sure it will work out that way.

I'm with you in that bar. A few olives. Some pickled anchovies. A little sheep's cheese to go with them.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I'm finding more and more that my preference is for the 'lighter' reds.
Think New Zealand Pinot Noirs, or Fleuries, or Sardinian reds I can't remember the names of... is my manhood in question?
Oh, and if we are talking Pinot Noir - a glass each of Gevrey-Chambertain, surely?
Have we all seen Sideways?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We could do the Torygraph crossword together and talk about vandals improving art by scrawling on it. See you there.

That's great - things will be balanced nicely with you and mummy clearly on the right and monty and I - more confusedly - on the left (I mean, I am, and monty will be if to his younger self he be true).bobo the clown wrote:Would love to. I propose as one across, in our own crossword... A glass of New Zealand Pinot Noir and the question of whether Chris Grayling has a clue (two letters, second O)...

My politics are somewhat iffy in old age (socially left of centre, fiscally conservative) but one thing cannot be denied - forty years ago I could always finish the Telegraph crossword. Of course I seldom got halfway through the Times. I also drink most things....William the White wrote:That's great - things will be balanced nicely with you and mummy clearly on the right and monty and I - more confusedly - on the left (I mean, I am, and monty will be if to his younger self he be true).bobo the clown wrote:Would love to. Cheers Boris, I'll add it to my list.
I implore you to try this. The last four yeas have been my favourite, year on year.

Bruce, how full bodied is that you've posted - it looks a little too heavy for my taste, though tempted because it's Portuguese. Pinot noir would be my favourite red grape. Going to put boris's in my first case though. Can either of you with your years of naked experiences guide me to some good but not heavy and jammy reds from the stock?

I brought you one up, Will. I seem to recall you said it was a smidge on the heavy side for you. For me I find it absolutely perfect. Don't suppose you can remember much about the one I gave you for your party.

Honesly mate? E-mail them.. They'll point you in the right direction depending on what you're after. Failing that, the comments section usually has a few buffs who talk about "like a summer picninc on the nose with a hint of lemongrass coming breezingly through at sunrise" or some bollocks.. But some of them are well worth reading as they'll give you info on the density of the wineWilliam the White wrote:ok - I'm convinced - have just become an angelBruce Rioja wrote:Cheers Boris, I'll add it to my list.

Re: Wine
Found a bottle of this in the mixed crate I ordered last month... Opened it was anticipation only to hear the dreaded 'tsss' sound... It's corked. Think it's the first time we've had one. They give refunds for them though. So will just tell them to replace it instead.Bruce Rioja wrote:Cheers Boris, I'll add it to my list.

Good taste, Bobo, if questionable spelling. It is a good white you can't really go wrong with.bobo the clown wrote:£9.99 Poilly Fume at Lidl. Got to be worth a try.
