Re: Anyone but him!
McLeish probably. He's not the worst manager in the world, but he's got a stigma about him and it'd cripple us from the start. At least if we hired someone popular but shit we'd probably go on a decent run just through the overwhelming positivity surrounding the place.

Steve Kean
Re: Anyone but him!
Really? You had the options of Roy Keane, Billy Davies and Gary Megson (who is th obvious winner, assuming Coyle is discounted) and you picked him? Not in favour, fine, but LEAST favourite. Ex rag with not much experience. Try Gary Neville, who is at least a cock.TKIZ! wrote:Solksjaer

Still, after all these years, the manager I would least want is Graeme Souness.

I'd have said that - but was scared of Worthy lambasting me!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Still, after all these years, the manager I would least want is Graeme Souness.

Reat easy, not on Mark Curtis' watch.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

The last three managerial appointments, we've managed to avoid the "bogyman" list 66% of the time! I could argue we have a 100% record, as Megson was so far past bogeyman, he didn't even make the bogyman list...

Surely Big Mick is on that list, isn't he?

Not sure he's previously been on it.Lord Kangana wrote:Surely Big Mick is on that list, isn't he?
I know it's previously contained:
Iain Dowie
Graeme Souness
David O'Leary
Steve McLaren seems to be on a lot of people's lists
Gary Megson as he's now become less likely as a candidate may have "improved himself" to a level where he can make it back on there, only to drop back off and into the darkside after his next appointment
Gary Neville seems to have his own special Marmite award.

Why would West Ham's chief agent be appointing our new manager?Lord Kangana wrote:Reat easy, not on Mark Curtis' watch.

I still don't know why he appointed our last but one, so I'm hardly in a position to answer that.
