What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

tonight, after movie at Cornerhouse, we had supper at Tampopo on Albert Square. I had a sticky chicken coated with thick soy-based sauce. Udon noodles-that-mean-it. Sort of Japanese comfort food.

A glass of Viognier was perfect.

My wife had shellfish and squid, with thin noodles, and a clear broth and loved it.

She had a red - I think a cabernet sauvignon.

It's my favourite place for pre or post theatre or cinema in Mancland. Simple, quick food, no fuss, no frills, excellent tastes.

Had lamb shank, colcannon green beans and carrots last night - washed down with two pints of Killkenny. Absolutely superb. Ruined only by having load-mouthed Yanks nearby. Is it possible to go anywhere in Ireland without having to encounter this particular breed of wanker? No-one's interested in where they're from - so what makes them think that they might be? Why is it completely beyond them to talk in hushed tones? I have nothing against Americans - just the ones that step foot outside America.

Reckon I might go for some chicken burgers and waffles for dinner...

By the way, do any of the culinary experts on here know a good recipe for sausage and onion pie?

Sometimes it's just all you want.

I'm all for being cosmopolitan, and middle-aged and watching saturday kitchen then cooking a nice fish dish on a week night with a bottle of wine.

But last night...i just wanted something crap, with chips. 8)

There are so many things implausible with that.

a - the kid's favourite drink is lime cordial and water.

b - the bar managed to serve her whiskey.

c - she actually NEARLY FINISHED the thing.

I really don't see how a kid could drink that much whiskey and not realise that it's not juice. Even for a 2 year old that's really stupid.

I don't get how the mother didn't notice. Lime juice isn't the same colour as whiskey.
