Wondering who would have the final say on this.
Not sure how much Gartside would be prepared to gamble himself on an untried or unknown quantity.

I get the feeling his arse will fall out and he'll go for a relatively safe option of McCarthy, just for him having already got two teams out the championship. I dont know, thats the supsicion i get.

Appleton is wank. he's won like 12 of his 45 matches as pompy manager. He's not good enough IMO to manage a team that could end up back in the prem...

To be fair he's also been in charge of a club that wasn't/isn't sure of being open for business the next day...

I'm not saying he should be in line for a job at the Reebok, but cut him some slack.

Ha. Wonder how long it's been like that for - or will remain like that for.

On another note - I wonder what will become of Coyle... Liverpool? Blackburn?

Might even take a job that's freed up by the previous incumbent coming here!?!

SOLSKJAER.

He'll get influential help from important people if he gets in too deep, finding the pressure hard (don't think he will, strong character it seems), still has some strong contacts with man u and perhaps will introduce some man u youth players into our team via loans etc. like we've done with arsenal and chelsea in the past. Fergusson has always had a good word for bolton (pally with BSA was the start of this) and would like to see his baby-faced assasin do well and take bolton back into premier.

Allardyce is my first choice, Solskjaer my second - mick mellon has earned a chance at this level.

Back to Burnley?

Eddie Howe is supposedly on his way back to Bournmouth.
