Fancy getting down to your place this year. My ex-mrs had/has family in Hanham who we used to come down to visit. They're all gas-heads. Couldn't quite believe the ferocity of the rivalry between you both.bengibbs68 wrote:Nah fraid not, do you lot get to most of the games? They're not bad here. Works out at about £17 a game or something. Same price for the season ticket as in the Prem, but we get more games for our money.bengibbs68 wrote:Nah fraid not, do you lot get to most of the games? A former colleague of mine, a fecking nutter from Clevedon, was/is a gas-head. He reckoned that they all stopped supping Dry Blackthorn simply because the maker's sponsored City's shirts!General Mannerheim wrote:i worked in Bristol for a year or so, pure gas-head in my time there. hope we smash em.

Re: Delusional Bristol City fan
I worked in Bristol, in two stints in the 1990s, for about five years. Really liked the city and made some good friends who have endured... So have the invite for a weekend down there for the away game, that I'll definitely be taking up...
Ashton Gate was a surprisingly hostile place to visit back in the day... It felt you were being threatened by a mob of Worzel Gummidges carrying bricks...
Worse than that was the fact that we never, ever won there...
The Gas were much friendlier, and more accommodating in rolling over...

Yeah the rivalry is fierce, but nothing overly hostile compared to some places (met some PSG fans once and they fight with other fans of the same club depending on where they sit/stand in the stadium!!)

Any of our older posters remember an Alan Waldron screamer in a 1-0 win at Eastville? 76ish?William the White wrote:The Gas were much friendlier, and more accommodating in rolling over...
