Interesting to hear LSL comments in the week - he wants the crowd to be our 12th man. Cliche of course but is he saying the support has been quiet this season by not saying it?!
There hasn't been many positives to take lately Sammy.
Fingers crossed that the BWFC boot room can begin our assault on the title tomorrow with a thumping win.... Well the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and all that!... No? ok. (1-1 then! Knight 89 min equaliser)
There are two times in a man's life when he should not speculate: when he can't afford it, and when he can.

Perhaps a bit of an over reaction. Different circumstances and players. Last time Lee was naive enough to believe he could outfootball expensively assemblied premier league teams with a bunch of journeyman free transfers. He had inherited a team on the wane from allardyce and had very little investment behind the 6/7 players he brought in.
Potentially the players he has now can play football on the deck. They do need organising on the defensive side and could do with a natural goalscorer. Writing anyone off before they even start is nuts and given that there appears to be an increasing risk of souness coming in I hoope to christ that Lee and Phillips can make a go of it.

Hate me for saying this but i would rather have Souness then Lee and Phillips. Dont mind Phillips but Lee is a weak manager

Why would anyone hate anybody for suggesting their view?
It is a different situation, the prospect of McCarthy or worse Souness is not a good one IMO so I hope Lee can make a fist of it this time.Perhaps with Phillips as the main man.

It appears being banned for a weak has done some serious healing.

Not really

Pri are you doing any of the games next week?

I agree with this statement 100% in the brief period he was in charge he took the club back 15 years, the only saving grace is that we are not in a transfer window so theres no chance of him purchasing dross like Daniel Braaten (the very name still makes me shudder)

Jimmy phillips should be given a chance i suppose, but I'd prefer we move away from the old boys network and get a fresh injection at the club on the manager front.

I really hope we thrash Bristol today and Jimmy & Sammy pick a decent team/formation, I don't think iIcould stand another post match interview were Sammy Lee spouts how well we've done, theres loads of positives, etc .... after we've just lost 4 - 0. The more I think about it, as a manager the mans a knob head !

If they drop Mears & Prately it would however be a step in the right direction !

Well, tbf, Pratley's not been playing.

I'd like to see Ricketts back in. ... & ffs, stop using Mavis as a winger ! Not having both KDavies & N'Gog on together & using Lee & Petrov may be a good start.

A clean sheet, day 1 post Coyle would say a lot.

The bit about using Lee and Petrov? I guess you'd sideline Mavies? And play one up top?

Where would you put Eagles and who's your one up top? Not convinced that N'gog's your man as one on his tod.

------------------Boggers
Ricketts----Knight----Ream-----Warnock
------------Spearing---Mavies
Lee---------------Eagles-------------Petrov
--------------------Ngog

Could have Eagles on the wing with Mavies in the hole and someone else alongside Spearing.

For the first time in months I'm feeling positive about a match!

Typical Wanderers-wise this is likely to be short-lived, but the talk about shape, embracing sport science, competitive margins has got me excited for today's game.

I just hope Jiminho can get the lads backing it up on the pitch.
