We tend to use them for other things to be honest. You'll find, rightly or wrongly, that fine dining mantra dictates that they are looked down upon as not being refined enough. And lots of people don't like them. And they cook at different rates. So the most expedient course, after weighing all that up, is to leave them off.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

There's only so much that they can do with the place though. They really need to put an extractor in the gents though. They've bricked up the windows and tiled over them, so they fecking stink. What time are you going in? There's a bird singing tonight. I'm tempted to meet you for a pint but I'm half cut.Wandering Willy wrote:I shall be trying that shortly. How's the refurb?Bruce Rioja wrote:Chef - tell me now. I love scallops to be served with their roe. Why is this no longer an option in restaurants?Lord Kangana wrote:Had a bottle of Three Choirs Annum (made in Gloucestershire) on friday night with some scallops and Merguez sausage. Top stuff.

I can tell you from experience that dropping a few extra pounds is not easy. It took me months to drop from eleven to ten stone and I celebrated with extra soup (repeat: extra SOUP - Heinz cream of tomato, 1 can thereof). This led to the downward slippery slope of little extras such as horse's hoofs and withinin days [might even have been hours] I'm now back up to 10st 4½lb. Beware the oodles of pud.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Hmm well as a man appraoching 40 and carrying a little bit extra timber these days, i'm not sure introducing daily puddings into my diet is the way forwardthebish wrote:ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Should i make a starter too, maybe some hors 'douevres and sorbet in between courses ??![]()

Whats your ideal weight? 10st would seem a bit light to me but depends on your shape and height i suppose.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I can tell you from experience that dropping a few extra pounds is not easy.
