Toliet(s) were fantastic.

The pies from the pie shop across the way were top notch too.

I only stood on the embankment once, and no it didn't.

The Coppers were always obliging and those gaps in the metal railings were perfect for watching the match through. :oyea:

I remember the uproar when they painted the crush barriers red.

Well, maybe 'uproar' is a bit strong.

I only ever knew them asr red.. Well, I say red... They looked red from a distance, until you saw them close up and they were actually chewing gum / rust colour

Sounds horrifically realistic but we didn't play either of those teams in 88/89 or 89/90...

I can recall being stood about there in 1997 right at the end of the season against QPR. I think if we won, it meant we were promoted, but not sure about that bit. I'd set off late and ticketless as I didn't think I'd be able to get to the game. The ticket office said they couldn't sell me one that late in the day on the phone, so I hoiked myself over to the away turnstiles and managed to convince the man on the gate, that I supported no-one, and was just on a tour of all the Football League grounds - this was number 74 on my list.

If memory serves, QPR scored first. Every fooker in my bit going barmy, as away fans often do, other than me. A steward wandered over to me and said "follow me at a bit of a distance and I'll let you in the Paddock"...

Ended up winning 2-1. Was great. I think that was my last game at Burnden.

I went for about a year thinking he was some academy player.
His name just sounds like a footballer.
