Leaking two goals a game is relegation form. We have to score three to win a game. Start at the back, Dougie, get it sorted!

anyway - more importantly - Al Habsi just let one in..

so - between them, Jussi and Habsi have let in 3 today - Boggers only let 2 in...

By this stage last season Reading had won 4 games, drew 6 and lost 5 with a total of 18 points, we're on 15 we need a run, we need that spark thats going to give us that reading push, from this point on reading won 20+ games. Its not over yet.....

So on average both the keepers we let go concede half a goal less PER GAME than Boggers?

Is that what you are saying Bish :D?

the amount of goals we concede regularly is simply dreadful. i don't think we've ever had a worse defence as long as i've supported the club.

Sounds like he may have been a little naive today, but this is one of the tougher games we will have this season.
you'd NEVER have said that if Coyle was in charge today - you would have said that the fecking idiot had fecked it all up with mystifying substitutions and we leak goals as always...
Cos Coyle built the squad over a period of time. And said this was the squad he'd always wanted. And he'd had a period of 18 months doing exactly the same things and getting the same results.

The problems we have are a legacy of his buys, his choices and training. Phillips turned some of it round, but the clamour for appointing him baffled me.

This squad and balance is not Phillips fault or Lee's or Freedmans.

I hope that we can improve, and believe that we can do significantly better. No point looking back now, we are where we are. Let's roll our sleeves up and scrap for every point.

no - even with BOTH of them in goal - they let 3 in - whereas Boggers on his own only let 1 in.

so you have changed your mind from your original view that this is a premiership squad which is head and shoulders above the rest of the championship and only needed someone to organise it to bring success??

Nowt wrong with the selection. The subs are a little ???

What cos Jimmy picked it

If it were Coyle he'd get slated
What's was wrong with it?

It was winning 1-0

And..... it was

Coyle picked this sort of team shit loads during his reign and it did't work

there's not enough cover in central midfield

Wake up man

Hopefully Dougies been taken notes
"This sort of team" ? Please explain.

You stated if it had been a Coyle side then we'd have slated it. I didn't slate the side nor would I if Coyle chose it as it could and should have got something out of the game. As should most of Coyle's selections.

4-5-1 was working, Jimmy changed it to 4-4-2 and we got punished. A naive mistake with hindsight.

He's had the team for 3 games, Coyle had the team for 22 months.

Brilliant CYL Good to see Ricketts back. He is a natural CB and can play either side. Disappointing result but at least we r in with a shout these last 3 games.

No, I still think it is. The trouble is that we've fecked about for trn games or so now, and lost some confidence and it's affecting some of the players.

So it's not like flicking a light switch, though let's be fair, Phillips managed to show some improvements, not in terms of keeping goals out.

It must have been a difficult few weeks with the unsettling nature of rumours regarding managers. And still the backroom structure Freedman will want is not in place.

So there is bound to be a tricky period.

But we can improve.

Agree its disgraceful, conceding 2 goals almost every game - fcuking awful substitutions today by Phillips

Freedman can't change this set of mard arsed, soft as shite squad of players - there is a complete lack of bottle and spirit but more importantly a complete lack of fight, pride & passion.

We will not go up this season with this set of overpaid pussies, it doesn't matter who's managing them, how many games have we scored 1st and then not gone on to win the game.

Coyle picked a light weight midfield

So did jimmy

2 nill down against Bristol City i'll say it again fvcking Bristol City

Scraped a draw against Wolves again conceding 2

And by the sounds of it we was hardly at the races today and conceded 2

Where still making the same bloody mistakes. As everybody has said what's happened to Knight weird partnership today

Just hope Dougies a miracle worker
