Re: Cardiff City
Glad they made young Mr Feedman the new manager, if it had been somebody high profile my expectation level would be high. As it is I am expecting a slow transition into a good solid Championship team, which is what he did at Palace.
I would like to thank SKD for his service over the years, however, the time has come to look to the future and Kev is not it. He would be better used coming off the bench when the other team is tiring rather than putting him in from the beginning where he has been very disappointing. Yes he has chipped in with a few goals but his overall play has been very poor.
I am expecting nothing from the game they are on a roll, we need the points, should be a good game I am going to stop complaining and get behind the lads!! COYW

Re: Cardiff City
From what I believe, Cardiff sit back away from home and look to hit the channels on the break for Bellamy to catch.. Think we'll need a bit of guile and a bit more of a worker on the flank. I'd play Lee on the right with Eagles just off the front man.
Think the midfield will have to work hard to keep the ball moving and Spearing will need to have his wits about him to help the full backs against a couple of excellent wingers at this level.

Also, got a spare for this if anybody wants it? Lofthouse Lower. Only downside: You'll have to sit next to me..

Be a tough game this one. Cardiff are in form and a decent side, could well go up automatically this season.
Be interesting to see how we approach it.

Its just I'd hate to know what our desription is in that case.....

I'd take a draw from this, probably. Win would be better. But we really need a solid run of games where we don't lose, even if that involves some tough draws.
Get some grit back, build some momentum.

Indeed. I was thinking earlier this week, which was the last game that we actually ground a result out of through pure, dogged determination? I seriously can't remember.BWFC_Insane wrote:

Arsenal last season is the only one in recent memory but wouldn't described it as proper dogged determinationBruce Rioja wrote:Indeed. We're playing at home. We should be going in with the attitude of if we play well, we'll win.
I think that'll be the case tomorrow. If we play well, we'll win. Otherwise, we'll get punished.

I must be off my chump. I've turned down work and ordered SkySports so me and the boy can sit and watch this.
So far it's cost me £65.00
Still it'll be worth it to see the look on his face when we roll in our fourth!
COYWM!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Cardiff will say the same probably. They are top we are 18th. Let's grind a result out, win ideal, but let's not lose.boltonboris wrote:We're playing at home. We should be going in with the attitude of if we play well, we'll win.

If we have that mentality going forwards we will be ok!

Re: Cardiff City
Massively worried if Bellamy is playing, our defence is way too slow to cope with him. He tore us apart last season. There will be goals in this, I'm going 2-2.

0-0.
Seriously NIL, zero none, nothing, nada, zilch.
We will, without second's doubt, be NIL at kick-off.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Cardiff City
That was one of the main things I disliked about Coyle, he'd pick Kev no matter what and the kids didn't get a look in. Looking at all the kids that have come through at Palace I'm hopeful we can finally bring some through, and maybe sell some on for a profit.Norpig wrote:I would like to thank SKD for his service over the years, however, the time has come to look to the future and Kev is not it. Re: Cardiff City
I remember watching us beat them 6-3 once when I was prepubescent, and I'm pretty sure we beat them 4-2 a couple of years later. As such, we'll dick 'em 5-2.5Gail Platz wrote:There will be goals in this.

Re: Cardiff City
I'm predicting a battling performance but a loss with it.
brave and bold but 1-2 turning into 1-3 late on as we push for an equalizer.
18k at the Bok clap the boys off and appreciate the entertainment and a bit of spirit.
we'll see...

Re: Cardiff City
Bellamy and Tommy Smith out injured for them. Bellamy always causes us no end of problems apart from when he gets sent off for getting smashed in the face by Paul Robinson

Pfffft.

Well freedman has already managed a team that beat cardiff this season albeit with a coylesque dream comeback. It's good to be looking forward to a game without the negative expectations that you tended to have with coyle in charge. It's an occasion where to some extent the result is less important than the performance. It's early but I'm hoping to see evidence of some kind of plan/organisation, commitment and a degree of intelligence in how the team is set up and how subs are used.

Would probably be for the best. I hope freedman can rebuild his confidence though. The same could be said for a number of players.officer_dibble wrote:Lets hope Reams dropped
Cardiff are pretty nippy going forward so maybe Knight and Ricketts would be the best pairing.Alternatively Mills /Knight and defending deep so there is no space behind for them to exploit with pace. Could create something of a mexican standoff as apparently cardiff like to sit deep and play on the break away from home.
