Fair enough.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Bless 'em.

Thank God there are some sane people around.

You've slipped that in to make sure we're paying attention. I don't recall Andrews anywhere near a tackle nevermind holding the line.

Otherwise good post. :)

And yet curiously with a midfield trio of Mavis,Andrews and Pratley the opposition were forced to knock it long and created next to nothing. There wasnt really too much need for tackling as Pratley furthest forward of the 3 kept closing down the space for their defenders. The others held shape and position meaning there was no space behind for their midfield to pick up and run/move the ball meaning less need to get a tackle in.
Pratley for all his limitations and lack of condfidence is quite possibly the best athlete in the squad, gets in the way whoever has the ball!
If he does gain a bit of confidence he could become a very useful player in certain games. He closes down well and is capable of getting on the end of things and scoring. He does need to get some belief though. on the ball he looked terrified of making mistakes and wouldnt take a risk, likewise when there was a chance for him to run into space and have a crack on goal he chose not to.

45 minutes in to the new manager, playing top of the league in a dull but generally even contest. Christ.

Can't wait to see him on Tuesday, unless he's voted with his feet of course.
We really do have some impatient thick fans. The one that got me on Saturday was the moaning when we hit long but at the same time complaining when we passed it around the back. TBH it was dour stuff, one for the purist in the first 45 but I saw a lot of positives when it came to the shape of the team. We hardly looked like conceding something which hasn't happened for a long time.

A midfeild of Pratters and Amanda might work well
