So basically, £125m in debt to Eddie, £10m to the banks. Debt to be structured over a 10 year period and not a 1 year. Plus ideas to try recoup the money through facilities added to the Bok.

Is that about right?
Pfffft.

I'd be astounded if Petrov wasn't.

Not that that is the point.

Why would we start guessing when the actual position has just been revealed?

Whats more worrying is the possibility that he's working on an exit strategy to sell the club, as has been mooted in the BN. Think we're a few years away from that yet, but.....

Venkys 2.

Just flog the ground and lease it back on a long term lease.

Simple.. We'll probably pocket a couple of dozen million from it too.

You think you're in a better situation? How much of his personal fortune did Jack Walker pump into the club in the '90's?

Do you think Venky's have run you at a profit this last two years?

We owe (next to) nothing to the banks and the rest is a long term loan to a private individual. Nothing to see here.

And lose one of our few solid assets? And pretty much all non-football revenues we currently have?

I don't think we'd get a high enough price for it to make so much of a dent in the debt, that its worth jeopardizing our future income and value. It would definitely be a buyers market, as everyone knows our ropey financial position, and they would be taking on a lot of risk themselves.

If the debt were to be called in, I mean.

To be honest, I've no idea how much the land would be worth, but I reckon it'd make a fair dent..

If (I know), but IF we get back to the premier league the TV rights alone are worth over £50 million. I'm sure there is a plan in place to repay the loan over the 10 year period and the money to the banks is manageable.

In the scale of money we are talking about in turnover, even in the Championship, £10 million is not that great an amount.

So our wage bill from June 2011-June 2012 was effectively the same as our wage bill in the previous period.
Just read that link, 16 million admin costs?! A breakdown of that would be interesting.

The player sales contributed 10 million profit.... But at what cost to the club's position (and hence, income)?

But then again, if we'd stayed up, Coyle would still be here, and we'd be below Southampton and QPR. At least if dougie works some magic this season, we might be in with a chance of being in the premiership for next season's mega bucks tv deal.

Right, this is all well and good, and interesting and everything; but, surely the main thing we are all wondering is: why the feck does Rovers F.C. type everything in blue?!

Anyone else thinking it may make BWFC a more sellable asset so Eddie can get his cash back?
