Mooning
I am sure that most of us realise, having scanned the latest accounts of Burnden Leisure, the company is close to going down the financial tubes. Any company that switches bankers as frequently as they have done looks a poor financial risk. To the bankers, it must look like a game of pass the parcel except perhaps the parcel is a financial time bomb. The owner is taking a huge gamble. No bank would lend BL £135 million. Let's face facts. Lower gates and declining Sky income against that level of debt is unsupportable. The owner must get the debt down as quickly as possible if BWFC is going to survive.

The owner is effectively in debt to himself.
So the original poster is making no sense.

I must admit that the thread title left me a little confused but I know exactly where Flimwell is.89bwfc89 wrote:Honestly thought we were getting a thread about mooning en masse at the next match!

Re: Mooning
I think the title obliquely refers to the fact that the bulk of the money is owed to Moonshift Investments. I presume Moonshift was chosen as the name of the company because Eddie Davies is as likely to get his money back as shift the moon.Montreal Wanderer wrote:I must admit that the thread title left me a little confused but I know exactly where Flimwell is.89bwfc89 wrote:Honestly thought we were getting a thread about mooning en masse at the next match!

Re: Mooning
Most of you have got it. ED is lending the money to himself because no-one else would so he is forced to take a huge gamble,if he wants his money back, hence the mooning reference eg baying at the moon. GEDDIT? He is in so deep he has no alternative so the bet is now on Dougie doing the business with a squad who I think are mostly good enough but have yet to show the degree of confidence to take us to the play-offs. I shall be at Brighton. Anyone else coming for a pint of Harveys and a great steak pie?
