Wrong voltage so you'd have to find a UK brand. Try googling 'beverage coolers' or 'beer coolers' possibly adding the word vintage and UK

On the way into work this morning I saw a woman dressed as a bumble bee, complete with yellow & black striped fluffy puffy costume, wings on her back, huge fluffy black shoes, two extra legs dangling next to her walking legs, antennae, the works.
Thinks me, how strange!
Now I discover it's Children In Need on t'TV tonight. Everything's explained. Except how I've managed to miss all the build-up this year (thank God).
Come to think of it I don't recall any hooha surrounding feckin red noses this year either. There was a time when I thought they'd maybe joined the constant commercial pantheon round of Christmas-Valentines-Easter-Mothers-Halloween-Anyotherfeckin-Day

aye... my daughter announced that it is fancy dress day at the college tomorrow (she chose to tell me this at about 7pm last night!) and could she go as a vampire - and (more importantly) - could I find her a vampire costume!

best we could do...

Funny that. I once did a fancy dress ball as Count Dracula. Mate of the ex-wife's lent me a senior nurses cloak similar to yours. Went down quite well, although the thought of a kiss from the vampire seemed to take a decided second place against "spoiling my hair".

Saw this story and was going to put it in the angry thread.

Then I read the readers comments at the bottom & wanted to put it in the happy thread as I nearly peed myself laughing

In the end I thought I'd put it here

These people, regrettably, have the same rights as you & I.

Seemingly not, thebish.

I think though that I'm more staggered by the attitude and lack of ability to express themselves of the main 'combatants' on that mini-soap opera. It took a while to wade through and interpret many of the comments. If all the contributors are real then it's a rather sad view of some of our fellow inhabitants of this planet. :(

I think not, TANGO. It might seem to be so but I surmise that it's simply that some people who would, like the rest of us, once have been an anonymous face in a crowd now have the ability by use of this Internet malarkey to broadcast their views to the world. Isn't that we lot here are doing?

Then there's this:

I was commenting on the intelligence level and the grammar Dujon. The rest is just life and nothing new.

They appear to have deleted all said comments, so I've no idea what was said.

I read some of them. It seemed to break down to a girlfriend of the convicted thug versus a girlfriend of the alleged victim (who was accused of causing it all in the first place - the gf that is). The literary skills displayed, as Tango suggests, were not of the highest.

just went to speak with a family to arrange a funeral..

anyway - the guy who died had quite a complicated life - having been born to a 16yr old wannabee film star who promptly gave him up to her mother and never had much more to do with him...

recently he discovered he had a step-sister (who his mother did keep) who (in turn) got herself preggers at a very early age - to none other than Beaky from Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich...

there's fame for you! 8)
