Almost getting in, but not quite ... Zepplin, Family, Ian Drury, Wishbone Ash, Doobie Brothers (without Michael McDonald), Clapton, Steely Dan, Cat Stevens .... in fact, bloody hundreds.

Yes, my life has stood still.
Some good 'uns from all three of you I thought. Given there's no particular reason to limit to five, why bother?

Then you can add:

Rush
Motorhead
Cream
Jefferson Airplane
CSNY
The Who
Rainbow

Blah, blah...

Parcel force - for giving me a good laugh at Spotty's expense.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.

Finally got around to upgrading the Mac desktop from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. This is a full new OS and I suffered lots of angst before I was able to bring myself to push the button. It all went reasonably well. The system seems to be running just a shade slower than it was and they has inexplicably reversed the direction of the scroll button so what was up is now down but apart from that I've not seen anything amiss - yet. Just £13.99 for a whole new operating system!

So, you paid £13.99 to make your computer slower and this makes you happy? :?

Running Mountain Lion makes mine run faster. I'd speculate that the speed drop maybe because he did an upgrade rather than a complete format and re-install, so still has some of the degradation of the old OS issues inherent with the new one.

However, ML is two major versions from Snow Lepoard.

How many machines bought running Vista would comfortably run (and support the features) of Windows 8?

Whereas Macs will. And the upgrades as said cost £14. Winner.

The speed was only a temporary loss. I was writing whilst the machine was still sorting its innards out after a good riddle with a sharp poker.
