Why's Butterfield here for only a month?
I don't get the logic. If Norwich are selling, I'd have thought a loan until the start of transfer window. If they're not, a loan until after January would still have seemed more sensible to me, for both parties.

A month initially, perhaps Norwich don't want to commit for longer? Perhaps we don't.....

Its the championship, short term loans are a way of life......

Fair enough, but till January's still pretty short term. Just makes more sense to me, tidier if you know what I mean.

Dont think there's a suggestion of selling. I imagine norwich want him to get some competitive game time.I imagine it can be extended if necessary but if he does well you'd expect them to want him back pretty sharpish and if he's not getting game time he'd be loaned on elsewhere after the month.

I think the fact that he is only on loan for a month is due to the fact that Chungy could do with some backup until he is back to full fitness. A couple of other posters touched on that last night (sorry, can't remember your tags but I am new and it takes ages to search on my phone! It may be a good move for both clubs and hopefully a sign that Chungy will be going nowhere in January, please be so!

Apparently there is an article in today's The Sun that Fleetwood Town want to loan Kevin Davies. So they want to loan our most prolific striker this season who has played in every game. Sounds fair to me.

We may stop looking for the easy hoof

someone big and strong not afraid to get on the end of crossess would get goals for us.I'm not talking Alan Shearer standard...a championship version must exist

It'd be a bit tight on Kraig, seeing as Kev is shrinking with old age.

anyway - all this talk of strikers is bollox... according to the BN - Doogie wants to bring in another midfielder before tomorrow's deadline.. cos - well - we're a bit short...
BN wrote: DOUGIE Freedman reckons he is getting a “clearer picture” of what he must do to transform Wanderers into promotion candidates.

All signs point to a busy week for the new boss, who is scouring for one more loan signing to add to his squad before tomorrow evening’s deadline.

Following the arrival of Jacob Butterfield from Norwich City a fortnight ago, the Scot looks set to bolster his midfield once again before this weekend’s trip to Brighton.

We could probably do with another winger. We've only got 4....
