Re: Benitez .... prick
Clearly the owners at Lerpool Admin don't want him. So he has to hope Rodgers fcks it up.Bruce Rioja wrote:He's on SSN again...... prick. Touting himself about, hoping for a club with both the stature and ambition to match his own. I'm getting the word............... Darlington
Meanwhile he needs to be employed as it's been a while now. But, as you say, he only views the top 4 or so (so why Lerpool ??) in the top leagues as worth his abilities.
He'll either remain unemployed (well, it is Merseyside) or lower his sights. But anywhere who can't offer him £100m to spend at the outset are no use to him. He must have really hoped Mancini fecked up.
He may have lowered himself to Spuds or Chelsea ... maybe. Plus Ferguson can't have long to go.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Oh here we go - Laurent Blanc's just stepped down. France have ambitions to win the World Cup and you can be there in under an hour. Go on - let's have a laugh.

Rafa Benitez has revealed he was surprised that he was not approached by Liverpool to replace Kenny Dalglish at Anfield in the summer.
The former Reds boss had expressed an interest in returning to the helm to succeed Dalglish following the Scot’s departure in May.
However, Liverpool’s American owners overlooked Benitez and plumped for Brendan Rodgers to take charge of the side.
Benitez, who guided Liverpool to Champions League and FA Cup glory during his five seasons on Merseyside, feels his success at the club should have earned him the opportunity to try and succeed Dalglish.
Benitez, who has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in 2010, believes despite a disappointing last season at Anfield his record stands up to the test.

The news that the former Anfield boss feels he deserved to be offered the job after Kenny Dalglish’s sacking will come as something of a surprise to Liverpool fans and neutrals alike.
Despite the Spaniard bringing Liverpool a Champions League triumph in 2005, along with FA Cup success in 2006, which meant Benitez became the club’s first manager to win major trophies in both his first two seasons at the helm, he left the club in 2010 after the side’s worst run in 22 years.
The barren spell under which Benitez saw out his last years at Anfield, which included their worst defeat at home since 1913, in a 6-3 loss to Arsenal in the League Cup, lost him much of the faith previously shown by the fans and most were happy with the decision to replace him.
Benitez currently finds himself out of a job after being sacked by Inter Milan after only six-months in charge, following a dispute with the board over transfer funds and his latest claims could suggest he is either getting desperate or slightly losing the plot – after all, it would seem illogical for the Liverpool owners to turn back to Benitez once Dalglish had failed just because he had been the manager there previously, as Benitez suggests.
Few will have forgotten Benitez’s very poor relationship with the club’s former-owners during his six-year stint at Liverpool, nor his activities in the transfer market which, among other disasters, saw him cash-in on fan-favourite Xabi Alonso to replace him with Alberto Aquilani who – fans will not need reminding – was nothing but an expensive mistake.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Benitez .... prick
Waitaminute, wait. BBC news said he's been given a temporary contract for 18 months. 18 months is longer than any of the last four permanent contract holders lasted for. If he's temporary, at this rate he'll be out on his ear by February.
