Re: Wine
Heads up on latest Morrison wine offer - 25% off when you buy any six wines/fortified wines... We bought a dozen this afternoon... Including Pinot Noir from Chile and NZ and several bottles of Prosecco.
We are hosting two family events over Christmas - so will be returning to this offer!

So, for 12, do you get 50% off ?William the White wrote:Heads up on latest Morrison wine offer - 25% off when you buy any six wines... We bought a dozen this afternoon...
In which case I'm off to pick up 24 bottles.

You only get to use a voucher with them once when you first open your account, though that doesn't stop me from trying though, and a couple of months ago they let me sneak one through for being a 'loyal customer'.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Do any of you lot use them Naked voucher cards that Amazon give away?

You can normally get voucher codes for 10/20% off etc online.. Just have a search, ask if you can use them and they'll probbaly just say "oh, go on then!"

Moi aussi. We should've negotiated a free bottle for close-by deliveries. Oh, do you drink Port? I don't. So if you want my Port in a swap for summat like say.............. a Montaria?William the White wrote:You can have a glass of mine if I can of yours... Yes, I drink Port, and my wife also, and more enthusiastically. I'm sure an exchange will prove possible. I promise LK it will not go with the Xmas stilton.Bruce Rioja wrote:Moi aussi. I've got one of the Naked Wine £60 quid off vouchers sitting here. Can that be used on any case of wine, in which case any recommendations? And once you've taken delivery of your first order, will they persistently badger you at work like Laithwaites do?

Re: Wine
Well, I never disregard anything that LK has to say on food and drink, in fact I seek out his opinion. However, the only time that I've ever enjoyed Port was with Dolcelatte. That said, the cheese was also served with fresh figs. LK?jaffka wrote:balls to what LK says Port and Stilton is fantakka

Re: Wine
Yeah, figs and blue cheese is a classic. Dolcelatte always has a slight pear/peardrops aroma, so I'm convinced pear cider (bloody cider!) would work with it (at least its not a waste of your time to experiment).
If you pair it with a fruity sweet wine (Jurancon, Pacherenc-de-vic-bilh) you're on to a winer. It also sometimes works with the Vins doux naturelle from the Rousillon (Maury, Rivesaltes, St.-Jean-de-Minervois). Your best bet of getting hold of them is from Booths, most of the common or garden supermarkets tend not to stock.
