I just commented on a post comparing footballers with soldiers. That's all.

Londons a couple of hours away. He's paid enough to afford a car. Coyle leaving should of been the catalyst for Marv to sort himself out and get into the team. I have no issue with him bring unhappy under Coyle but now? Time to sort himself out!

Tell me, Plymouth - does anyone join the army at the bottom these days for any reason other than they are thick and have nothing better on?
This is really disrespectful to the men serving our country. Not everybody who joins the army these days are "thick and have nothing better on". I know two highly intelligent men who are currently serving our country in the army. They had to start at the bottom. It's a career. Please don't tar them all with the same brush.
Instead of scoring points, read his question, again

Absolutely nowt there that's disrespectful - though, the hard of understanding might get the wrong end of the stick
Scoring points? WTF? Expressing my opinion. I don't give a sh1t who agrees with me on here and who doesn't.

I've put the bit I find disrespectful in bold. You know the bit were crayons implies that the only reason people join the army is because they are thicko's. IN MY OPINION that is disrespectful. You think that makes me hard of understanding? Ok mate.

Oh by the way, has no one backed up the fact that Sords is depressed with any kind of fact yet? No?

Facts don't make me laugh

People on here don't need facts they just assume or its there brothers mates uncle who's got this friend and it's his dad's sister that is ITK

I hope to God none of these fvckers have to do jury duty

You are clearly reading it a totally different way to me then because that's honestly what I get from his question. Care to explain how you are reaching the conclusion that's not what he's implying?

Trying not to step over the line of carrying something totally pointless on but at the same time not doing a BL3 and avoiding the question here!

Right, I know the young fella and he's way more polite than I, so I'm pretty confident there's some 'missing the point by miles' going on

Is it not unreasonable to ask whether many, many people get an education before they join up?

See, I think it is

Anyway, I'm not the one with the private education so he can put you reet himself

Ah right, see I think it helps a bit if you know the person who's posting as you have more of an idea of the context.

If you met me you'd realise I'm a nice girl really :)

Probably best he clears it up, if he wants.

Well it's got me all in a tizzy, and that's a fact. Actually, it's not, it's an opinion. Nope, wrong again, more of a state of mind. Oh fxck, I know what I mean, even if none of you do, or don't, or at the very least even if some of you think you do but don't really because you are misunderstanding what I'm saying. At least I can console myself that I'm not homesick, which means I can go to work tomorrow... how depressing.

Yes you can be depressed/home sick with huge earnings but its Sordell's job to play football and let's be honest he's not doing that very well at the minute. If its true he's homesick, I don't know how ? London is just a few hours away and I'm sure he can afford the transport ? It was partly his decision to come to Bolton, also it will be my decision when choosing which university I go too, if I go to Newcastle or Liverpool I'll probably miss home but I'll have to 'suck it up' and get on with it. That's life

FFS this thread  It is like Dan, Hoboh and BL3 have been let loose on running the Internet for the day

The way I see it is that Sordell is allegedly homesick. This may or may not include a form of depression but in any case he's unhappy and miserable. Coyle is a cock and may or may not have caused this possible mental state. Freedman has recognised the state and plans to do something about it.

Plymouth (I get an image of Popeye now - sorry, no offence or ridicule intended, just random mental images) thinks Sordell needs to suck it up *if* it is just homesickness. Other people, such as armed forces have it worse.

BoltonBoris thinks it *may* be depression and sucking it up is not the right approach. Gary Speed was a footballer, relatively wealthy and was still very depressed. Therefore the wealth does not mean good mental health. A perfectly reasonable point to make.

I'm sure everyone here appreciates and respects our armed forces and probably knows someone in them.

Shake hands, smile and play nice?

That, AT, reminded me of an intro to the old US sitcom "Soap".

Confused ? ... You will be.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Popeye i can live with that but i got to say i hate spinach

I think it applies to any job

I just hate player power
