The athletics/running thread

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Good job I know you normally look quite normal and nice GtE, or I'd be petrified to meet you on a dark night!

Funny you should say that. Last Thursday I went for a torchlit run through Trent Park and the surrounding farmer's fields. It was exhilirating running through the woods having to concentrate on every footfall and avoid your fellow runners (eleven of us went out). Anyway, for this Thursday I've invested in this:

that's the most complicated looking jock strap I have ever seen!!
:shock:

There are a number of this ilk. Running through army assault course type terrain with walls, cargo nets, crawl throughs, submerged tunnels and electrified wires.

Not my idea of fun but good luck!

Not done that one but I did the Prestwich challenge a few years ago which is, as Gary says, walls, nets & tunnels etc. Had 1 moment of panic halfway through a long tunnel when I realised I had folk in front of me and behind me & I couldn't get out till the leader had <shudder>

Great fun but not to be taken too seriously.

http://toughmudder.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Been checking out there website and it looks quality my mate down the gym did it in scotland and said it's the hardest thing he'd had ever done

Don't think i'd struggle with any of it and by the looks of it i'v done most of it before but not 12 miles worth, he did it in 3 an half hours

Apparently they start of with an ice bath "shudders"

I will Probably do it for charity
