What are you eating and drinking tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I picked up a treacle sponge in the supermarket just before, then resisted the urge and put it back down. Now the line about there having been people aboard The Titanic that waved away the dessert trolley won't leave my mind. :(

piss easy!

take a while to steam though!! (though - can just be whacked in the microwave)

you basically just whack flour, suet, sugar, assorted raisins/sultanas/peel/currants, eggs, brandy, cinammon, mixed spice, nutmeg, lemon zest, grated carrot, grated bramley apple, breadcrumbs... errrr.. I think that's about it and simply stir it together - then steam it... then you can keep it as long as you like (basically) and heat it up on christmas day...

Cheers Bish. If I get time I might give it a try. Must be far superior to 'shop bought' (and let's face it, they're not bad at all)

We use Delia's recipe. With extra alcohol, as she's a bit stingy. Its a cracker.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Went out for a nice cold walk round Entwistle.

Coming back I just knew I had to have hot pot.

It's now in the oven at no 3, I haven't had lamb for over two years... bet I enjoy it though... :D

I think you had lamb on Friday June 3rd 2011...

IIRC, it was lamb, apricot, prunes and honey dish with coriander, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric and saffron. Served with couscous and cooked in the tagine...

My memory is that you did... I think you may have reported back something like this: "Was very, very nice... Sweet fruit, spicy, shoulder of lamb so tender... " 8)

hmmm... I think you might have a listening/reading problem, Bobo.. What is the point of people telling us this stuff on this thread if you just don't listen/read properly and take it in???

everyone remembers William glowing about his newly purchased ceramic tagine that you can use on the hob - don't they? (at least those who listened do!!)

I think you're still just a little bit sore about not getting into the Discerning Diners' Art Appreciation Club for Bolton Fans Who Travel Abroad...

Tonight is pie night... I've got homemade steak and ale and baked bean pie with flaky pastry, proper gravy, mash and leeks.
That's not a leopard!
