No, pretty sure Bish that BL3 is not a Dougie advocate and I'm getting the 'vibes' from the forum he might be Owen

oh - in that case - he's saying the same thing that BWFCi did at the start of the season...TKIZ! wrote:No, pretty sure Bish that BL3 is not a Dougie advocate and I'm getting the 'vibes' from the forum he might be Owen
Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Fair do's, my point being that I wish/hoped that we would try and get behind whatever manager came in or at the very least the team. However, some fans don't even want to get behind the team any more and feel they should just shout, abuse and castigate the team whilst expecting that this will get them to achieve results.

I was pro-Coyle and I don't mind if people want to bring up posts with evidence to the fact, however I think now we have to be pro-Dougie and get behind the side

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
There are some real 'hope' clingers on here, me too but just because we raise questions about Doogie and the way he has approached the job does not mean we are 'anti' him just confused by what he is doing.
What I find troubling about some posters views are just what on earth has Doogie done to promote such optimism amongst you that we will be world beaters as soon as next season, the fact he isn’t Megson or Coyle? We have not even seen the type of player he is going to sign yet.
Give him a chance yeah I agree but soon after the first window if there is no major improvement then sorry times up and I hope Eddie disposes of Gartside as well.

Nobody is saying they are massively optimistic though.Hoboh wrote:There are some real 'hope' clingers on here, me too but just because we raise questions about Doogie and the way he has approached the job does not mean we are 'anti' him just confused by what he is doing.

Just that proper well run clubs give managers plenty of time.
We should do the same. Not a few fecking months.
If it was up to you we'd have binned Allardyce off after 6 months.
Patience is an important quality.
And note, Coyle had 3 years. We'd seen what he could do after multiple windows.
Dougie deserves the same chance and will get it either way. I'm more confident than I was with Coyle but that's not saying much. Just wait and see.

Maybe because being a fan means that you always believe that they can win?Hoboh wrote:There are some real 'hope' clingers on here, me too but just because we raise questions about Doogie and the way he has approached the job does not mean we are 'anti' him just confused by what he is doing.

Some might just have a more optimistic view on life?
Whining and moaning and pointing out the sh*te becomes very tiresome after a while.
Some dont always look for the negatives in life?
I dont know Hobo if the above are all true but I do know that as a fan of BWFC I just want to see us to do well and at the moment dont think that Duggie is doing anything wrong. We are now harder to beat, what else do we really expect?
Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
So on that basis if we sink into league one we should still give him 3 years and millions of pounds because Coyle got it? Watch this;BWFC_Insane wrote:Nobody is saying they are massively optimistic though.Hoboh wrote:There are some real 'hope' clingers on here, me too but just because we raise questions about Doogie and the way he has approached the job does not mean we are 'anti' him just confused by what he is doing.

COYLE OVER STAYED BY AT LEAST HALF A SEASON AND A SUMMER
Just in case your memory was fading a little bit quicker than normal.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
You've summed up more eloquently what I was trying to say. I want above all of this for BWFC to do well, regardless of manager. Some fans would much rather that they could sit watching a match and moan about the fact we've passed the ball about rather than hump it forward and lose the ball. To have fans on numerous occasions I've been to the Bok spit bile about players for the full game whether we're up, down or drawing is balls IMOjaffka wrote:Maybe because being a fan means that you always believe that they can win?Hoboh wrote:There are some real 'hope' clingers on here, me too but just because we raise questions about Doogie and the way he has approached the job does not mean we are 'anti' him just confused by what he is doing.

What is your problem, Hoboh? It's Megson hate all over again,, just because their aren't instant results doesn't mean that it automatically qualifies we should get rid. Rioch/BSA and Neal would have all gone way earlier had we stuck to that model/approach

Hoboh would have sacked Fergie at Man Yoo about 15 times as well when he started.

Megson hate is different TKIZ.
And totally understandable. You've got to call a c*nt a c*nt.
Other than that, carry on.

Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The game like it or like it not gentlemen has moved on and with next seasons Prem cash its moving again, you just don't have acres of time.Hoboh would have sacked Fergie at Man Yoo about 15 times as well when he started

There are other examples but this is one...thebish wrote:what mistakes has he made - and what has he learned? just to be clear...Armchair Wanderer wrote:Has he made mistakes? yes
Has he learnt from them? sounds like it from interviews
Then...Dougie said about Brighton game, BeN wrote:“That attitude and desire to keep giving it a go got us that point even if we didn't deserve it,” he said. “I made changes and initially, for the first 35 minutes it didn’t work.
So I'm guessing that he's learning stuff, and he's certainly shouldering some blame for some stuff that doesn't work. Sounds good from the armchair anywayMarc Iles wrote:And so the Whites boss makes his way back to the drawing board at Euxton where, given his approach during his first month in charge, he will methodically break down what went wrong in minute detail to his players using every tool at his disposal.

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Not very nice Iles refering to his no2 as a tool!Armchair Wanderer wrote:There are other examples but this is one...thebish wrote:what mistakes has he made - and what has he learned? just to be clear...Armchair Wanderer wrote:Has he made mistakes? yes

so he's learned that it's generally good to "give it a go" and he shouldn't make changes that don't work?

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Whilst I didn't or don't like Megson, I was using it as an analogy about not giving the manager at least a chance to stamp his authority on the team.Hoboh wrote:Where have I said I hate Doogie or want him to fail? What is your problem, Hoboh? I didn't mean or certainly don't mean it to come across as confrontational but you seem to want instant results or that's the way it appeared to me
