Hi All,
I run a newly formed HTFC Fans site called http://www.htfcfans.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, very original I know!
I wondered if anyone would be able to answer a few questions for me, just to give our fans a feel of what to expect on Saturday, in what should be a good old fashioned War of the Roses clash!
Hopefully I'll get some good answers, and will use 2 sets to go on the site.
Cheers!
You currently sit in 18th place, are you disappointed with the way that you have adapated to life in the Championship following your relegation last year?
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
If any of you wanna reply then that would be great, here's hoping for a good game at the weekend.

Re: HTFC Fan
Afobe's wank.. He's on a whole different level of wank than the rest of the wank players we've got.
Freedman is doing his best with some wank players, but he's made us wank to watch and his results on the whole have been wank.
Our stand out performer has been Eagles, who was pretty wank last season, but this season he's been far from it.
We'll get beat 2-1 but it's okay, because apparently under Coyle we'd have lost 114-7. So it's definite progress.

You currently sit in 18th place, are you disappointed with the way that you have adapated to life in the Championship following your relegation last year?
Obvious answer is yes. We were shit last year and we're even worse this year. Bit depressing really.
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
I'd argue that we don't have a squad full of premiership quality players. We've a bunch of players that have played in the premiership. We have some quality, but we've seen very little of it for a couple of years. We'll bob around mid table I reckon.
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
I wasn't for him coming, strange appointment in my view. He's here and he deserves some time. We're less of a shambles than we were, but We've not suddenly started playing like Brazil. Jury is out for some time for me.
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
Eagles. Kev Davies has been better than we've seen for some time. Apart from that everyone else has been between alright and wank.
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
Shit. Shockingly shit. Really shit. Unbelievably shit and doesn't give a shit.
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
No idea to be honest. We've been away from this division for quite a while. Know little about it or yourselves.
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
We'll lose by a goal.
If any of you wanna reply then that would be great, here's hoping for a good game at the weekend.

This example of such reasoned debate is why this website is head and shoulders above the other Bolton forums on the internet.boltonboris wrote:Well no points under Freedman is obvious improvement over no points under CoyleAbdoulaye's Twin wrote:As if we'd score 7![]()

Best of luck for this season fella.htfcfans wrote:You currently sit in 18th place, are you disappointed with the way that you have adapated to life in the Championship following your relegation last year?
To be honest, I am a little disappointed but not entirely surprised. I think the best we can hope for this year is upper mid table and some consolidation as a Championship team. I may be alon in this, but I can honestly say that I wouldn't welcome Premiership football back at the Reebok any season soon. As a competition, it's a busted flush. Anyone can win or lose a match in this division, which is what makes it so great to watch.
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
There aren't many of our players who would walk into a Premiership team at the moment, even those who are playing well. January should see a cull of those who are not performing and the introduction of some new talent with luck.
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
It's too early to say yet. He has changed the training methods apparently and we will have a better idea after the January transfer window once he has brought in one or two and sent one or two packing (For Afobe, that time can't come soon enough IMO)
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
Eagles has been playing well and can score coming inside from the right or left and from dead balls. Mark Davies can either shine or disappear but has the potential to run cnetral midfield against anyone in this league.
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
Without doubt, the worst striker Ive ever seen in a white shirt and Ive seen us play with Ian Marshall and Mario Jardell up front - both of whom were more mobile, had better ball control and could shoot better despite weighing 6 stones each more than Afobe. His first touch is awful, he makes runs into silly areas and has no tactical idea how to play football. I confidently predict a slide down the leagues in the next 2 years followed by a life of obscurity in the Conference.
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
A hard fought game with some choice tackles.
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
Nil nil and a well needed clean sheet for us.
If any of you wanna reply then that would be great, here's hoping for a good game at the weekend.

A little bit. I was under no illusions that we'd be going straight back up, but I was expecting us to be a bit higher than where we are
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
I'm afraid there aren't many Premiership quality players in there! I do expect us to string a few wins together at some point, once we're properly used to the division, but top 10 is best we can hope for I reckon.
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
Very happy. I'm sure he's the man but it was a shock to see Blackpool let Holloway leave - I would have been even happier with him.
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
As said, Eagles & M Davies have the flair, but Kevin Davies has once again been the man this season. We dont call him 'Super' for nothing!
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
Very early on I thought I saw some promise, but apart from a bit of pace he just doesn't seem to have the ability to play at this level.
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
Had some good battles against you over the years and I'm sure Saturday will be no different. I thought you rode your luck a bit in the play offs, but you've made a decent fist out of things so far this season. Much better than Wednesday have.
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
1-1

You currently sit in 18th place, are you disappointed with the way that you have adapated to life in the Championship following your relegation last year?
I think we have adapted to this league like a dodo to the concept of flight, though i didn't expect anything else when we didn't relieve crackpot from his duties at the end of last season.
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
We wont get promoted this season and i can't see us reaching a play off place.
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
I'm happy with his appointment, he seems to know what he's doing. I think we have started to become more tougher to defeat now like at the Brighton game with Dougie at the helm. Hopefully he'll start bedding down more of settled team so we can pick up some more clean sheets in the future.
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
Chris Eagles
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
In my eyes i don't see him as a footballer.
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
All i know about Huddesfield is that Dean Gorre, Andy Booth and Jordan Rose used to play for you, so all in all i'm expecting the unexpected, but i do believe you will score because our back line is shakier than a sh1tting dog.
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
I stated the other day that we would win 4-1, but i'm having trouble believing this now, i may have been overly giddy at the time. I'm sticking with it though.
this is my reply it's probably not that great. i'm not anticipating a good game at the weekend.

You currently sit in 18th place, are you disappointed with the way that you have adapated to life in the Championship following your relegation last year?
Wouldn't you be? Fact is, we haven't adapted at all. As poor as we were last season, we've been even worse this year.
You've still got a squad full of Premiership quality players, do you reckon you can push on in the second half of the season and reach the higher echelons of the table?
We don't have a squad full of Premiership quality players. We thought we did, but we don't. The vast majority of them couldn't care less for the club, its history, or its fans, and I can't wait to see the back of those concerned. We might just about bob up into the top half of the table come the final reckoning...but seeing as that's 12th place, I wouldn't call it an achievement.
How do you rate Dougie Freedman, are you happy with the appointment and what he has done for the club so far?
Meh. It was an odd appointment, and unless he gets us back into Europe by this time in three years, he'll be our chairman's last, I expect. He hasn't set the world alight, but by hook or by crook, got us onto a six game unbeaten streak. Which unceremoniously ended last time out. He's got a lot to do, and with some very angry Bolton fans around, not a lot of time in which to do it.
Who would you say has been your best performer this year, and who should Town fans look out for?
Chris Eagles and Kevin Davies have been the standout performers, but two men do not a team make. Credit to Zat Knight, our unexpected defensive rock, as well. As far as you lot keeping an eye out for someone, watch Benik Afobe, for reasons I shall detail lower down...
Saturday sees the return of Benik Afobe to the John Smith's for the first time since his loan spell in West Yorkshire, how has he been doing for you?
He isn't a footballer as long as I have testicles. He's been spectacularly bad, and by far and away the worst I've ever seen in a Bolton shirt. He's got a Billy Big Bucks attitude, and he couldn't give a damn about BWFC, and it shows. He can't get back to Arsenal fast enough...and we can't wait for him to go.
It's been a while since the two teams last played each other in 2001, and a lot has changed since then. What do you expect from Huddersfield on Saturday?
I've no idea. I know squat about Championship teams, as I'm only interested in Bolton. The only reason I knew so much about Premier League teams is prolonged exposure. You might be great, you might be crap. I suspect we'll make you look better in comparison.
Finally, any score predictions for Saturday?
You'll wallop us. It'll be a proper tonking. You'll get at least three on the scoresheet, we'll be lucky to get one. But we're shite, so don't get over-excited about it.
If any of you wanna reply then that would be great, here's hoping for a good game at the weekend.
