1923 Cup Final Bolton Wanderers V West ham for sale

Post by pompeymilton » Fri Dec 07, 2012 12:22 am

Hi, I'm selling this programme, my great Grandad was a west ham fan, but unfortunately I've got to sell the programme now. I'd like to see it sold to a West ham or Bolton Supporter.

EBAY !!! FFS. That needs to go in a specialist auction. What better than Wham grabbing it for their trophy room at the new Olympic Stadium? Course that was in the days they could show us the Wham way of footie. LMAO.
On Ebay £700 ish is a bit naff, I would expect that in a specialised auction. 8)

A specialist auction of 1923 cup final programmes would be a specialist auction indeed.

Especially as there wouldn't have been enough to go around.

With an inked horse-shoe signature on it !

A good mate of mine had one of these, or thought he did, and a specialist collector offered him 2 grand for it if it was genuine. He met the guy who advised him that it wasn't in fact a genuine programme, but a copy of the original that the Bolton Evening News did as a freebie for all of their readers the following day. They are virtually indistinguishable apparently, so caveat emptor people.

I believe you can tell by the substitute lists. If Sordell's on it, it's not correct.

Did he then offer him £50 to take it off his hands? :eh:
