I've been unsure up to now, but at last it's clear ... this IS all a big piss take.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If shite teams like Millwall and Watford can get in the play-offs within a run off 6 games then anyone can.

Re: quick pole
When we played Watford I remember saying at half time that they were as poor a side as I'd seen in many a year. I had to do a James Finlayson style double take when I saw where they were in the table last week.hi there, i'm chris wrote:If shite teams like Millwall and Watford can get in the play-offs within a run off 6 games then anyone can.

We can.
Sadly it's looking less and less likely that we actually will.
I still have hope though!

How old are you?

Re: quick pole
It's a tight league a few results can make things look a lot rosier but think I've finally accepted if it does happen, it'll be via the playoffs and be by the skin of our teeth. Reserving judgement on the Dougie revolution until post transfer window myself.
First post by the way. Hello everyone.

First post by the way. Hello everyone.
In two games time we'll be halfway through the season. The period of adjustment has long since gone by and I've not seen a single thing to suggest that we're capable of turning this around in our current state.
So, the big question is, will Uncle Eddie be giving much cash for Dougie to splash in January? Can he afford not to? What's his tipping point?

Re: quick pole
I've not seen anything in the first 21 games of season to suggest that we can go up. We've got a load of strikers who don't know where the back of the net is, a soft midfield and a leaky defence. We're making a lot of individual mistakes and not learning from our errors.
I think the problems are quite deeply ingrained throughout the side. We've been that shit for the last 2 years that we don't know how to win football matches - how many times have we thrown away a lead this season? If you want to win promotion then you need to keep a lot of clean sheets but we've only a couple all year and 1 in the last 51 away games. To be honest, i thought that one of the first things that Dougie would have done is to stop us conceding so many that is yet to happen.
The only way that we could go up this season is if Eddie threw a load of money at it but I think you'd need to splash a lot of cash to solve everything.

Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....
